Republicans on getbig are having a really tough few months. They could get behind christie, jeb, rubio, cruz, rand... so many good options. Then this Trump arrives and takes all the oxygen from the TV... all they see is trump, and all the casual political fans just choose trump so they can be un-politically correct awesome too!
Well, now they are starting to realize Trump is not ideal. He's probably not electable. He's pissed off LOTS of repubs and will hurt many races if he's the nominee. BUT they cannot just boot him, as he holds the 'trump' card of being able to just run as a 3rd party and ruining it for them anyway against a really beatable Hilary.
And worst of all, even as they want to agree with Jeb, with George Will, with so many voices saying Trump really might be a democrat plant designed to make sure Hilary doesn't blow it this time - I mean, they are good fcking friends - As soon as repubs start to realize this, they have to go on getbig and see LIBERALS who have been calling trump a dem plant all along. So they feel doubly stupid. Now that even Jeb is saying it... WERE THE LIBERALS ACTUALLY RIGHT ALL ALONG? Yet since 240 said it months ago, they sure as shit cannot say it today.
Hence, why they're so quiet today.
