I once saw a documentary about transgender people and couldn't help but notice that the transgender women to man patients have quite a bit in common with female bodybuilders. They both take male hormones and many of them pumped iron regularly to achieve a more "masculine" look. Female bodybuilders claim to retain their femininity and wish to continue to look like women, only muscular but for every pretty face on a muscular body there are about 900 ugly faces on muscular bodies. So is it all just a farce? Are they really kidding themselves?

Perhaps they just want to be really, really strong? Strongest in the world?

Bodybuilders don't perform feats of strength to compete. They use their physiques to compete against each other. Female bodybuilders don't train to be the strongest only the most developed, best conditioned, etc.

It's ridiculous these "women" take tons of AAS, synthetic test- a MALE hormone, their clits look like a chinese flacid penis...and they want to be called women. The top FBBs would give some guys at the national level a run for their money!

That's my problem w/ FBB...the amount of drugs they take makes them look like freaks, not one hint of femininty. I say take away the drugs from the women, test them and disqualify the ones that use, do whatever to stop female AAS use, and keep them natural. That way the natural FBBs can't get grotesque and look like men.

didnt u watch that one documentary with that british guy who discovers the world of 'female muscle-worship"? It was posted by tech-nine I think.They follow this woman bodybuilder, who I think is an argentinian, and she does complain of people making rude comments about her, such as calling her by saying 'sir'.

They don't all have implants and do the ones that actually have them look much more feminine all of a sudden. How about guys who have a fat chest shaped like breasts? Are they really trying to be women? Tits, fake or not don't make you more feminine when your face looks like an aging Fred Flinstone.

Explain why the butch FBB get implants then? Is it because they like carrying artifical lumps in their chests? It's for asethetics, and try to hold on to the "feminine" look.

I think it is a new IFBB rule that says any female competitor has to have at least 1/2 inch of titty. If not they have to compete in the mens' division. This was a problem with Renee Toney. The IFBB and Manion saw there could be a problem with judging because since the judges already have proven not to have very good eyesight, they saw a problem with Toney and Ronnie Coleman being on stage at the same time. How are the judges going to distinguish between the two of them. So they added what is now refered to as the "1/2 inch Titty Rule". Hope this clears up the misunderstanding. (A note: this writer is still under suspect that Renee Toney is in fact Ronnie Coleman. Have they ever been seen on stage together. I think it is one person wanting to monopolize the BB world like Weider has.)

I know Chic was supposed to bring this up at the big meeting they had but no one showed up apparently. They were also trying to pass the 2" Weenie Rule. There seemed to be a problem with guys and the girls getting mixed up because of the clits being enlarge it looked like a dude. So Chic wanted to pass the 2" Weenie Rule to insure he and others aren't falsely accused.

Too bad the days of Rachel McLish and Cory Everson are gone. I really liked the Ms Olympia in the '80's. All the women looked feminine with a hint of muscle and conditioning. Now it's the Fitness Olympia. Oh well next thing you know we'll have Ms Synthol Olympia!
