You say Ronnie wasn't Ronnie because of drugs.that reminds me of something I'll never forget. In 95 i was getting ready for a show and I went over to Joe McNeil's house and we were just talking and I don't remember how it got brought up but he said matter of factly ,Ronnie Coleman gonna be Mr.olympa no one is gonna be able to beat him.I wasn't going to argue with Joe ,he knew a lot more than me,but I was thinking Coleman ain't nothing certainly no Mr. Olympia.Well you know the rest.point is Joe knew something, it wasn't like Ronnie just came on the scene he had been grinding away for many years and showed no signs of being the super freak he became.that's been haunting me all these years did Joe know something about Ronnie's drug regimine or was it genetics.
Well, just to be clear, I never said that Ronnie wasn't Ronnie because of drugs. There would be no 8X Mr. O Ronnie if it wasn't for drugs. I said that Ronnie didn't destroy all his competition because he took more drugs than everybody else. At the O level everyone of stage abuse hormones like few can imagine. There's not a huge difference in their hormone abuse and the way they train and the way they eat. So why does one win and the other lose? It's genetics. How one respond to hormones, training and nutrition.
Ronnie's response to hormones, training and nutrition was just better than everybody else. I mean, there was no doubt the Levrone was a super responder and when you see him standing alone you wonder how this guys was not a Mr. O. But when he stands next to Ronnie this super freak looked small.
One can do and take everything that Ronnie and Kevin does but only a fraction of one percent will get similar results.
Hormones are an absolute necessary but insufficient condition to be a champion.
