There should be a rule that you have to place in the top 10 of any pro show within 3 years of earning your pro card, and every 3 year period thereafter, or you go back to being an amateur.  It would increase the quality of the shows, and eliminate the problem of smaller shows having 30-40 contestants.

I think it would be impossible to be black balled so badly, that a quality bodybuilder couldn't make the top 10 at any pro show.  Look at last year's Australian Pro, there were only 9 competitors, so guys such as Pietro Gilberto, Jim Pedone, and Neil Gardner made the top 10.

the sad thing is, as bad as these guys look in comparison to the best pros, theyre far more advanced than 90% of this board. Thats how these guys are judged when people look at them, theyre immediately compared to the top 10 Olympians which is something they'll never even get minutely close to. But give them credit, they still got up onstage and competed for last place

if you look back to the 80's you never saw pros like this. virtually every pro who competed looked like he should be there.

is this simply because they are handing out to many cards or is it that more countries are getting into the sport and the winners from those countries havent reached the same quality as the rest?
