I find the fact the story from a tabloid trash mag gained no legs due to likely being untrue, now explained as "It takes weeks, sometimes months for these things to come out" ludicrous. It wouldn't be so bad if at the end of this thread 240 said "You know, this is about the 10th time I've thought something was true in spite of everyone pointing out the flaws. So going forward, I am going to practice researching and weighing the information more carefully before coming to a conclusion" then it might have all be worth it. But chances are very high we'll be doing this again over some other conspiracy theory claim and he'll pretend this never happened
LOL! Dude, please read the news before posting. Instead of posting this, you could have read the new headlines first, and discovered news was breaking on this last night. The madam's lawyer started releasing the client details 16 hours ago.
http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/dc-madam-s-lawyer-begins-releasing-details-663936067504Steve Kornacki reports that Montgomery Blair Sibley, the attorney for the D.C. Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, has release some of the documents in the case as he continues to obtain permission from the Supreme Court to disregard the gag order in the case and release his client's phone records.
He listed 174 companies, names and organizations today. Have you read the list yet?
the story from a tabloid trash mag gained no legs
Last night, the lawyer released info that showed people from FBI, IRS, state dept, coast guard, US forest service, embassies, johns hopkins, large law firms, and more, were on madam's call list. He said he's "not releasing the individual names.. Yet."
So "the story gained no legs" just turned into "the story just accused the largest govt bodies of involvement and the lawyer promised to name people soon..." I'd say that's gaining a little bit of legs. The lawyer is trying to get permission so he doesn't get disbarred, he's trying to fck over Cruz for whatever reason... BUT if Cruz' name is in there, it's much better for repubs for it to come out NOW, and not in October when it'll give the election to a Dem.
