The demise in the health of prominent bodybuilders doesn't do much to dampen the desire for steroids in my home town . What puts most guys off are the many fakes and the badly prepared underground steroids that are floating about . In the past few weeks I have heard many a moan about problems from injecting the latest batches of t350 and t400 . Sadly this is what it takes to make the young inexperienced juice boys rethink their attitude towards their "HOBBY" .

By the way, Ms.six-thousand-posts-in-seven-months, you're in no position to accuse anyone of being small. Sorry, but the basement gym at your parent's house, next to your computer and bed, is not adequate for developing a truly massive physique. ;D There's no way you're bigger than me. ;)

Howard.

Drugs are a part of this game.

I suppose you could play it straight, but the rewards aren't nearly as fullfilling.

Being natural limits you.  What price are you willing to pay?

Choose a side and get on it.  Time waits for no man.

Dominate or end up watching from the sidelines.

When guys who are healthy from staying clean and still lifting you may very well be on the sidelines. Putting stuff into your body that you really have NO real knowledge of. And where do you come up with all your delusions of grandeur? Who the hell do you dominate because you can build muscle by using steroids? Get with the real world before its too late.

However, you really shouldn't crap all over gear users in every post here.  You couldn't possibly be 100% of what you are today, without using back in the day.  It's a fact.
Sorry, none of what I have today is based on gear.  At 18 you can't put on muscle as easily because of a thing called metabolism.  All my size today is natural and zero is based on easy juice gains.
I don't crap on gear users, just most of them..haha.  Reason being, I know what I put in to get my gains and when I see some asswad hitting a cycle to look better at the club he's going to dance at that summer, it's not what lifting should be about.  To me, most people who juice are complete assclowns.  Especially the ones who look like shit, so 80% of them.  If you're going to juice, at least look hell better than me.
It only proves my theory on how easy it is to gain on gear from my cycle in 94'.  Any doucebag could do it, which is why I choose not to today.  Just not a great challenge to me.

1. If you do not compete you are not a bodybuilder.
2. If you do compete and are natural, you will not enjoy success.

3. Combining the above statements gives, if you are natural and enjoy bodybuilding you enjoy losing (being a loser). If you do not compete you remain just another person working out, and maybe you are a FAN of bodybuilding and bodybuilders and posting (gay) pictures of yourself posing on the internet. Examples: 240 comes to mind, and so does True Adonis.
I'm ok with that.  I'm not a bodybuilder, but you're probably a second rate drug abuser.  I usually look down on the majority of people who compete.  It's like trying to prove something to nobody.  I could go down to the town fair and compete in the light heavyweight Division A class, come in first, then what...call myself a bodybuilding champ!  The only thing competing on the "pro" level means to me is massive amounts of drugs, in addition to your training and diet.  It's not a great feat.  In addition, there is no talent in the sport.  So, how could you boast about placing in a "competition" where talent has nothing to do with it.  I'd rather watch a juggling show and would be more impressed honestly.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy lifting and what I consider "bodybuilding", it's too bad it's saturated with drugs/gh/insulin/synthol, etc.  It ruins the "sport".
By far, the dumbest post I ever read.

I agree on some level.  If someone told me I could be one of the top 10 in the world, but I had to ingest the amount of gear some pros take, I wouldn't.
I have zero desire to compete because unless I had freaky genetics, what would be the point.  I don't doubt I could get a pro card if I chose too.  I've seen some pros and am not impressed.  It doesn't take "guts" to take drugs for you gains, it's just a choice.  One I consider a poor one, so I don't.  That's great if people want to pump themselves full of shit and it's amusing to see how big some can get, but honestly...it's not an accomplishment to take drugs.

I think people that are insecure and don't have a place in the bodybuilding world like to find something to bitch about pro bodybuilding because they will never be able to succeed themselves. Just so they can got about their second rate life thinking "oh I just know if everyone would be natural I would win everything" or "if I used drugs I would easily be a pro also" etc.
I don't view placing in a pro show some great accomplishment, or that's what I'd be shooting for.  And if everyone were natural, I'd still place poorly.  Some guys have great genetics, no doubt.  If I used a ton of drugs, I don't think becoming a pro would be very hard.  Do enough shows, right connections, yippee...I have an unlaminated card and have to pay $200yr.  Most pros make dick, but probably do it because that's what they love.  I admire following what you love, it's just too bad it's saturated with shady people and extreme drug usage.

As usual you provide some good food for thought here DIV thanks for the response.  :)
Ok , I get tempted from time to time to push the envelope and just do a few cycles, just like any other musclehead, etc. Shoot, I even went down the roid road back in the mid 80's for a few years. So, yes, I know my personal experience the little jolt you get from the juice. Plus, I have no moral hang ups or issues with drugs and don't care about what others put in their bodies, etc
However, back in 1986, I had just won a  show and was getting "serious". I was also headed for financial disaster with no stable career plans. I flushed he rest of the bottle down the crapper and went back to school to complete my degree with no regrets to this day. Could I do some sensible cycles with little side effect and extra gains and still have a stable life/ career? OF COURSE. I am sure that many do that very thing and live happy, productive lives.
Bu the thing is even a couple thousand bucks over a year or so on a few cycles is $$$ I can use so my wife and I can go on another cruise, which in my mind set is a much better deal.
Hey if somebody reliable gave me some juice for free, sure I would do it, why not?
BUT short of that , the MONEY and possible legal hassles to actually buy a decent cycle are not in my plans at this point in my life.
Howard

Howard,

We had this talk before and we came to the same conclusion.  The drug game is not for you.  We've established that.  You're too caught up in the legal and monetary issues that come with AAS.  It's not for you.  I still think a part of you has a desire to dip in to the "DarkSide".

Don't deny your nature, Howard.  Deny your ideals.  Dominate your space.

I love bodybuilding and did use small amounts of the juice from 83'-86' and have no moral agenda pro or con about drugs of any kind. I for one, love bodybuilding, love to train , may even compete again, etc
However, I don't drink, smoke or do drugs of any kind. Shoot, I don't even cheat on my wife, don't even give it a serious thought.I do still go out and hoop it up with my wife dancin' and having fun at various clubs in the ATL. It seems that most folks do some kind of booze or drugs for whatever reasons, and those in/around bodybuilding seem to really get into various drugs for BOTH bodybuilding and
"fun". It is my observation that people either live really dry, dull, stick in the mud lives or party ( drink do drugs like wild men/woman. Most that I know that are also veteren teachers tend to be really dull people.
Maybe I am too  ;D Seriously, I see so few folks with stable careers that like to have fun and act crazy without drinking or doing drugs. I know I am odd, but what the hell.
Any others like me? Any others that drug it up and feel cool about it? just curious?
Howard
Not too many feel the way you do Howie. It seems like there's a lot more hate for it judging from the post I read  here.....
