Doctors in the US prescribe statins like candy. Both of my parents have been on for years. The asked zero questions.

There is an increased risk of rhabdomyolysis from using statins. Muscle breakdown leading to kidney failure.

My buddy got that one time. He was in rehab and they had him on a bunch of different meds. My friend was a state champion wrestler he got caught up in pain killer addiction. He went to the gym at the rehab facility. He went crazy on the treadmill. Later that day he started pissing black. His organs were all shutting down on him. He was in the icu for awhile and eventually got better he was lucky.

Ronnie's general health profile is extremely compromised. Not that I'm some medical doctor, but it doesn't take one to reasonably determine the man has joint issues, nerve damage and vascular/cardiac problems.

He is a naturally muscular male who was never built to handle mass and massive poundage workloads. His structure is excellent for the criteria for success in competitive bodybuilding, of course.

The irony of all this isn't lost on those who've been around the bodybuilding block.

There's a reason a majority of elite strength athletes with career longevity are naturally thickly-built.

Those Franco flicks are hella shit.

The man has the screen charisma and presence of a lawn chair. Plus, he's a historical manlet with pubes for a hair helmet.

It's called "fiber".

All prescription drugs have nasty (potentially deadly) side effects.  I urge people to stay away from them.

Big pharma couldn't care a less about your health... you're just a cash cow to them.

Great scenery, dialogue and acting though!

Loved Beretta's Island, Desperate Crimes, Doublecross on Costa's Island, Taken Alive and Dreamland: La terra dei sogni.

He was also great as Batty in Last Man Standing.

That is most obvious, considering he still trains like he is 35 years old. He's still trying to hold onto something that is long gone.

I feel bad for his health problems. He has so many. Here's a picture of Bill Pearl at 55.  Anyone can fall to ill health and no one is immune.  Just try to put the odds in your favor.

It's amazing how many patients are prescribed statins. Rather than coaching them with basic, foundational lifestyle changes,  they jump the gun straight into the prescription.

I think it was partly down to his form and his genetics than the weight itself. He always done the movements in a jerky manner and I think he also lifted well beyond his capabilities thanks to the copious amounts of hormones he took. Take someone like Mike O'Hearn for instance, he has lifted crazy heavy for decades now and still hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.

Because medical doctors are not dieticians or exercise physiologists. Just because someone has an MD, it doesn't mean they know about every field of study. This is why people go for advanced degrees in nutrition science and exercise physiology. Many MD's have dieticians on staff or will refer a patient to one. I guess the lazy doctors will just give you a pill. When I had high cholesterol (only by 30 points), my doctor said to me, "Eat a low calorie diet." That is it. No recommendations on exactly how to do that, i.e., which foods to eat, how much, etc. I mean, good thing I already know something about exercise and eating, so I got it. But most peple dont.
