Yes, I havent liked them since "And Justice for All", but this sounds more like the old Metallica...
First few right up until "Master" were amazing...

Bunch of old irrelevant assholes, brought down Napster and general assholes when it comes to streaming their music. Dinosaurs who still believe people buy CD's.

They're too old to even realise streaming sites would be the only thing keeping their old irrelevant selves afloat in media. Their old albums are still among the best in rock history.   8)

The Napster thing was retarded though. People hated Lars already but that just solidified how much of a dumbass he is.

Took years for them to get to spotify though as they fought every inch of having their music on streaming sites.

Agree - although I like a few songs on the Black Album

Listen to All Nightmare Long on Death Magnetic.   That's when they figured it out again - think they went back to Rick Rubin.  Song is epic.

New single is promising.

I like all their stuff. The shorter songs on LOAD are great and all the rest. One of the best bands ever who always had great stuff like Green Day.

Typical metal/rock band.  Were awesome when they were on all sorts of drugs, they sober up and their music turns to shit.  So either they're all on heroin now or they hired a drugged up song writer to help them out.

I used to be a big Metallica fan a long time ago.  Their song writing simply isn't as good as it used to be.  Most people hear a tone and think...it's the old Metallica.  No, the old Metallica wrote better songs.
It's more than most can comprehend though.  After the black album...the writing went downhill.  Particularly when Newsted left the band.
Many think the black album wasn't great due to it being mainstream,etc...it was actually one of their better albums.  Master probably the best.
