doesn't matter. he still would have won. he made ron his little bitch every time they competed

With the way the Olympia is judged, he probably would have won. Ronnie did win in 2001, after all  ;D

thats because they competed before ronnie was his best. a lot of people beat ronnie back in 1992 and never competed with him again, i guess that means alq gurley is better than ronnie too.

yup, Don't forget that since Zane beat Arnold (when Arnold was in grade 10), Zane would have beaten Arnold no matter when they competed... ::)

Ronnie in 1992 was nothing compared to what he was in 1997. Even watching the 1995 Mr. Olympia, Ronnie really was no threat to anyone. In 97 however, he was truly near his peak, and his still finished 8 spots behind Yates.

can you say "overlooked"?

Hell, Ronnie was overlooked in 1998!!  Please note that the first callout of the 1998 Olympia DID NOT involve Ronnie. This was the first time that a first callout did not involve the eventual winner in 15 or so years.

if that is not being overooked, then I don't know what is.  The judges did not realize how good ronnie looked initially, They didn't even consider him at first.

There's a picture of an olympia around on this board with coleman and yates, you coud clearly see that he was underrated.
Game of the name also played.

ronnie is in a league of his own...
his muscle density and sepaeraton

when ronnie does a double bi pose look at the lines that seperate his bis to his
tris

its stuff like this that makes him untouchable...
he wont be fully appreciated though
until he retires...
who's gonna take his place... jay culter... martinez...
ha...
nobody is even close...

Dexter has a smaller waiste, let's make him the next Mr. O

I would do the "rolling eye thing" but that is too over used around here.

what the hell  ::)

a smaller waist, better conditioning, more symmetrical, and just as complete as coleman....so yea he should have won that show.

you cant have it both ways..

if you fault dorian for winning the O in his condition, then likewise, you must fault Coleman as well.

Dexter has sticks for calves and an A-taper. His conditioning is at best, a little better. One arm is larger than the other and his quads are never that cut-up. Poor hamstring detail doesn't help either. Not to mention the extra 70 pounds of muscle Coleman has.

you're talking about calves??? LOL insinuating that Coleman's calves are better :o

Not sure, what an A-taper is, but Dexter's taper is far superior to Coleman's in 2004. Coleman didnt even have a taper with that 45 inch waist.

Ronnie has calves too small for his thighs, but they are still big. Dexter has no calves! Dexter torso gets wider as you move from his ribs down to his waist. Ronnie can get away with having a bigger waist than Dexter because he has 70 more pounds of muscle. A Dorian fan should know this  ::)

no you don't and here is why:

Coleman in 2004 beat:

Jay
Gunter
Dex
Rhul
Gastavo.

In 1994 Dorian beat:

Kevin Freakin' Levrone
Shawn Fuckin' Ray
Chris Cormier
Paul Dillett
Porter Cottrell (okay, Porter is outclassed here, but still)

slight difference in competition there, would'nt ya say?

Ronnie won against crappy competition in 2004. Dorian won against amazing competition.

ronnie deserved to win given his competition in 2004.

Dorian should have probably been placed THIRD in 1994.

I have never said Dorian should have won in 1994. I am not an IFBB judge, and I wasn't there, so I can't speculate exactly on what everyone looked like, how they hit the poses, etc. We can get a pretty good idea from the pictures, and I would agree Dorian should have not won, I would have put him second.

In 2004, the competition as a whole was crappy (90s was much tougher) but Dexter brought his A-game and was truly better than Coleman. I think you can correlate Dexter in 2004 to Shawn Ray in 1994.

No judge has ever said how much better a small man has to be than a big man in order to win. I wish I knew.
