Getbig christmas story: Uranus space mission

the year is 2317

we are in the dystopian future, where competition for jobs is even harder, and robots are capable of doing complex tasks such as giving deep tissue massage and judging bodybuilding competitions.

In year 2032, a team of individuals volunteered to be cryogenically frozen, while alive, to be future astronauts for asteroid mining missions. Each of their families were paid 20 million euros for their
decisision. The team are a mix of people with respective skill sets. The frozen people are:

- Vince Basile
- Sev (Cleanest Natural)
- Primemuscle
- Vince Goodrum
- tbombz

one october afternoon in Seattle, year 2317, a team of NASA scientists are prepping the space shuttle called URANUS EXPLORER, with the cryogenically frozen getbiggers inside. The launch date for the space shuttle's first mission is due in a few weeks...

PART 2

it is now time for the NASA scientists to wake up the crew from their frozen state. One by one, they program the machines to de-frost the crew. Basile will be the leader and captain of the mission. He is dressed in a black fabric space suit, with 4 blue stars on each shoulder. The suit is a little tight across his belly, but other than that he looks majestic. The rest of the crew have grey worker suits

When they have all woken up, they are all amazed to see how much society has changed. They all gather around a laptop, to see what has happened on Getbig. The random pics thread now has 174 million views. The last picture herne posted, before he died from old age, was a picture of Lee Priest eating ice cream.

Basile breaks up the party and says that they have to get to work. Primemuscle is however nowhere to be found. Basile orders the crew to search the space ship to find him. After a few minutes, Sev finds Primemuscle in the men's bathroom. He was trying to carve out a hole in the wall between the stalls. Basile gives Primemuscle a slap on the wrist, and they continue with prepping the space ship for launch...

the prepping of the space ship continues, while a few of the crew members are taking a break from working. Sev sits in a beige Eames chair and reads a book by Michel Houellebecq. The crisp sound of turning pages and the concentrated look on Sev's face makes Goodrum look at him in awe.

Soon after, a NASA engineer goes into the space ship to give the whole crew an important lecture about space and its scientific characteristics. He starts talking about black holes, and how, once a black hole has formed, it can continue to grow by absorbing additional matter. Any black hole will continually absorb gas and interstellar dust from its surroundings and omnipresent cosmic background radiation. The engineer then asks if they can comprehend how a hole can absorb that much mass. The whole crew sits still while thinking. Tbombz is the first to raise his hand, and he tells the engineer that he thinks he understands. Goodrum giggles a little.

The engineer finishes his lecture, and it is time for dinner. Sev and Basile can't really agree on a menu, but they decide that Sev will choose the menu if there will be served plentiful amounts of red wine. While Sev ponders what to cook for dinner, Primemuscle walks up to him and says:

Sev looks delighted and says, that it would actually be nice to cook Coq au vin; the French dish with chicken braised with wine, lardons, mushrooms, and optionally garlic. They all work together and get started on cooking the dinner.
