True spirituality is the key.

People have been "worshipping" at alters, temples, and churches, to thousands of different deities, since the dawn of man.

It should be easy for someone to recognize the patterns, and see right through that.

However, I absolutely believe in a higher power, being, force etc....Humans are not the pinnacle of anything, yet they continue to struggle to try and explain what they were fully never meant to comprehend.
