DAVE, I also saw GET OUT and liked it.  A well done but basic horror, mystery movie.

CAUTION: Possible spoiler follows.

I sorta/kinda felt that there was something important forthcoming from that T-cup/spoon scene before its 'importance' was revealed.

There is a professional Hollywood name for that type of "reveal" but I forgot what it's called but I believe that Hitchcock used it many times.

I asked myself , "Why is that T-cup getting a close-up shot in this scene?" .... only to find out why much later in the film.

Little things like that add to the enjoyment of films such as this one.

I forgot how the maid and the gardner got involved with the script/plot though.

I went and watched it on my own and fuck it was good, I love how in the opening scene he attacked them and had the same gore as in a normal xmen film, then he looses his temper and turned into a proper gore fest.  Jackman was amazing, Stewart with Alzheimer's and a old man just incredible even the little girl was spot on.  Many scenes have you open your mouth and raise you eyebrows in a 'holy shit' kind of way.

GET OUT SPOILER:  Don't read below this

Stunt the maid and gardner were the grandparents. They were the prototypes.  It was a very well thought out movie. I went reluctantly but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sounds like what I hoped it would be. Jackman does a great job in that role.

Thanks, DAVE, I didn't realize that. Why did they make them servants?

GET OUT is probably the one movie I'll be seeing more than once and get a better understanding even though it's not too damn complicated.

As an aside .... Skull Island (King Kong) gets a major grand opening tomorrow night in La La Land and the whole tribe of family members will be doing the red carpet meet and greet on your feet thing ... but I didn't get an invite this year either.

How many of you GetBiggers realize that PIANA had an ape role a few Planet of the Apes ago?

Ditto for Orville Burke.

So now this is BB related.

I was invited to be an ape in the original but was to damn busy fighting a war someplace ..... or was it ... searching for my surfboard.

Logan sucked.  Slow ass plot, predictable twists, and the little girl was annoying as fuck with her little stare.  She looked like a younger version of Michelle Rodriguez and her one dimensional acting skill which consists of staring into the camera with a "mean" look on her face or yelling.

Complete waste of money for those of us without pimples on our face and braces.

People think that Logan is a good movie, even if for those without pimples or those being Marvel or superhero-afficionado.

It's a good movie regardless if growing up in the 70s with the smurfs etc

They think they little girl was a good actor, especially for being so young, being able to convey emotions without talking etc
Pacing is said to be great as well, not as quick and fast, cramming actionscenes in all the time as those dime a dozen x-men movies.

I have not seen it yet so cannot give any judgement.

I watched XMen back in the day.

If I were a teenager I would probably really like these types of movies.

Yeah, they're not as fun or exciting (you were more excitable as a teen) when you get up there in the ages, but still, they can be some mindless entertainment for 2 hours.

You can always watch them with the younger members of the family.

So what do you watch now that you're mature and distinguished?  Moonlight and La La Land?

I'll see this movie.  Wolverine and Ian McKellan's Magneto are the most compelling characters in the X-Men films.

I really like the character and I think Jackman is amazing in the role.  It just sucks that the X-Men/Wolverine movies kinda lost their way a bit as far as story and continuity.

I was really good.  A tad overhyped, but very good.  Super-violent too.

The X-Men movies did get a bit f'd when they erased the past, and Apocalypse was bit lame, but overall they're solid.

Never saw any xmen film or marvel film. Batman films are the only superhero ones I'd watch. I did go see suicide squad with the missus and child in the cinema but it was a load of cock

Too bad because the latest Batman reboot sucked, as did SS.  DC Universe is a mess.

There are plenty of good ones mixed into the Marvel / XMen world.

LOGAN SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!

Although my family members are deeply involved within the making of these superhero movies, over the years I have gotten to somewhat dislike them but am 'forced' to go in order to fit into the family dinner discussions.

My only interest usually  is. "How the hell did they film that particular scene?!"

With that said ..... I really disliked LOGAN mainly due to the fact that the young kids were killing their elders regardless that their elders were the bad guys .....  and I am surprised that the movie going public didn't start some sort of 'rebellion' over it.

(Does anyone know how the hell they filmed that LA freeway dance scene  that opened LA LA LAND?)
