Yes, this has been the direction of development for some time now.

Recently Finnish MP made suggestion to legalize incest.
Argument was "incest has been outlawed due to nature of sexual intercourse back in the days (reproduce). But nowadays sex has other targets than reproduce and incest can be legalized as there's no fear for health of the offspring".

BTW - no shortage of all kinds of horrible shit with children in the bible (including child brides) and I don't recall anyone calling that a liberal time

seems like age consent should be somewhere around 17 or 18 to me (16 seems a bit young but I also don't think a 16 year old guy having consensual sex with a 16 old girl should be statutory rape either so who knows exactly where one should draw the line)

You have to realise that a tarted up 13-16 yr old can pass for 18 in a night club, there have been numerous cases when young men have been put on sex offenders registers after a drunken night out.
