For all the GETBIGGERS on here from Chicagoland...

Victor Martinez will be in town April 22nd-23rd and will be singing autographs and promoting MHP w/ national level competitor Eric Seng at 'HEALTH KICK'. 5735 w. Dempster Ave, Morton Grove IL, 60053.

Anyone here from Chicagoland in the know...knows to call Orlando for any details...

'HealthKick' is the name of a popular private supp. shop everyone around here in the BB circles of Chicago go to...the owner...Orlando is a really good guy.

Pride was one of the sponsors for my new DVD so I was giving them a copy. How did you do in the show? I only went to the pre-judging.

Thanks for the heads-up. Health Kick is actually a good store with a good selection. It's got a tons of posters and photos of bodybuilding/fitness all over the place. I'll be there for sure to meet big Vic.

Cool, John...I have to check it out. I didnt know you had a dvd out...

I placed in the middle of the pack. I was in heavyweight class...took 7 out of 13. I came in at 219 Saturday morning...I need to get down to the 208-212 range to be more competitive. It was a great learning expierence and I am looking forward to my next outing to improve.

Yea, HBK...'HealthKick' is a great shop. Orlando is a friend of mine. See you there...

My thoughts on Victor? He's one hell of a competitor. Awesome physique who's only going to get better.

I can't judge him and say he's a scumbag...he's this he's that. Know what Victor is? He is a competitive BODYBUILDER. PEROID. There isnt one competitive bodybuilder breathing right now who doesnt or never have had to nickle/dime and hustle/flow.

We do what we have to do. It isnt like he has an annual salary being an IFBB Pro...and to compete at his level it is only natural(no pun intended) to have a means for supplemental(no pun again) income. Competing is expensive...living the BB lifestyle is expensive. Victor does or has done NOTHING that 99% of other competitive BB's do. NOBODY reading this or on this board have any right to cast stones at him...nobody is perfect. We ALL fall short of the glory...know what I'm sayin?

No...I'm no pseudo-pro. Hahaha...not even close. Just a friend of the owner of the shop where Vic is comming for a MHP promotion.

I compete in the NPC but only local shows in Illinois. I'll never be pro...not even like that. I'm stating the truth, though. I never met Victor once in my life. The only interest I have in him is an 8x10 autograph signed to my gym on the southside/Chicago so I can hang it up for decoration.

Nobody's perfect. I think people in general should judge athletes for what they do professionally first and foremost. A doctor who cheats on his wife wouldn't be judged to be a bad doctor right? Vic's got a great physique in my opinion, as do a ton of other people. I'm pretty excited to meet him actually, as the only other pros I've met are Art Atwood and Rod Ketchins. Atwood was undoubtedly the most muscular guy I've ever seen in my entire life.
