well let me put this straight:
1. fighting in boxing and outside of boxing isnt the same thing, tyson in a arranged boxing fight in prison would win against anybody, tyson getting attacked outta nowhere wouldnt necessarily win.
2. its surely possible that there's people out there who COULD be the best in the world in a sport, but they either compete in a different sport already or they dont compete at all, but they surely have the genetics for it. think about the worlds population, how many africans could do well in certain sports if they had the opportunity, coaches, training facilities etc.
COULD BE.
Michael Jordan was considered the best basketball player, and athlete, in the world when he played. And when he walked away to play baseball after a 20 year layoff he wasn't close to being an average player let alone the best. And when he came back to basketball, after being away from the league for 18 months, he was shortly proven to be the best in the world again. No one closed the gap in his time away.........
Lebron James could be the best player in the NFL. He's not. Ironically he's also considered to be one of the best athletes on the planet so it's not far fetched to think a great athlete would be great at another sport.
Connor verus Floyd. This fight will be an interesting case study for the getbig theory. Connor is a great fighter Floyd is a great boxer.
COULD Tyson have been shanked in prison? Yes. But he wasn't. The question was did anyone mess with Tyson in prison. The answer, 30 years later, is no.
A street fight? You don't think a no name prisoner would have been more scared of MIKE TYSON than Mike was of them, even with a knife? Had anyone talking about these street fights actually stabbed someone? I've been in my share of confrontation and I've never had a knife pulled and if I did Id run.
Real sports aren't like bodybuilding where only a small percentage of people compete.
For the record a man with a knife, bat, crow bar, brick or gun beats Tyson from 1990. But if it's a bare knuckle fight no one stands a chance.
Also would you please provide an example of a time when a PROFESSIONAL boxer was beaten up in a fight.
