yeah, his inability to shrug massive ammounts totally detracts from his history of success in the sport of bodybuilding.

yeah I'm quite sure there are a ton of people that can shrug more than 100's, but I'm guessing most of them don't look like Shawn Ray....thought I was on a bodybuilding, not powerlifting, board?

I'm sure a lot of Olympia competitors could shrug more than 100lbs and with the exception of a few, Shawn blew them ALL AWAY!

Shawn Ray had and I'm sure still has very good trap development so what he did worked. Vince Taylor is famous for training with extremely light weight and Gunter trains very light as well. They're all successful pros who've had very little in the way of injuries so maybe they're something to it. It being a photo shoot would also mean that he'd have to hold poses etc. so heavy weights aren't practical.
