Dan Duchaine's articles were great...I always felt like he was revealing secrets of bodybuilding.....I think he was the guy who invented the original supplement called something Orange...can't remember the name....but I heard it was amazing and you would burn fat like hell...but then it was banned and someone put out a weak substitute
I believe you're referring to Ultimate Orange. I tried it 22 years ago.
That stuff gave me a massive headache. The first time I used it, I took it 45 minutes before my workout as instructed. The bus ride from campus to the gym was 40 minutes.
Normally, I would take a nap on the way. But as I was falling asleep, my arm started feeling cold. Next, it started shaking on its own.
When I finally got to they gym, my head was killing me. It felt as if someone put a vice grip on my head while blowing a hair dryer in my face. Throw in the heart palpitations and it was a certified nightmare, even though it did help push the poundages as advertised.
Next day, same thing happened. After the third day, I said "TO HECK WITH THIS!!!"
Considering how much I spent on it, I certainly didn't want to throw it away. So, it took me nearly a month to use what should have taken a week or two to use. But, once I finished it off, that was IT!! And, I never touched the stuff again.
As for Duchaine revealing the secrets of bodybuilding, it's too bad he didn't use those secrets on himself. He was the ultimate reality check for those folks who think all they need is a syringe and a secret stack and it's instant Mr. Universe.
