first, if you are a male, you must weigh a minimum of 180lbs to declare a Meltdown.  That is the most basic rule.

A meltdown generally means that someone has gotten unreasonably upset about something. A stricter definition is that someone must demonstrate that they are in a state of mind that is significantly different than the one they post under most of the time. The anger they display should be evident to all.

and don't forget the person calling the meltdown, if male, must weigh at least 180lbs.

Ron has imposed no weight requirements on those who use the term "meltdown". This is his site.

There are many elements to a perfect meltdown.

1. Cry like a baby when you know your wrong

2. Admit that you have had that problem in the past

3. Threaten to kill the poser who made the smartass comment

A true meltdown is a thing of beauty and is often reciprocated by the squad team.

the illustration really helps.  what i'm saying though is that a lot of times some will say for example, "you're stupid"  and someone else will be lik " OHHHHHHHHHHHHH MELTDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  is that the proper use?

Yes and here is a perfect example. It is a special type of pure meltdown brewn by the squad team:

haha, why don't you get your dad to snap some more pics of you, swimmer? hahaah

It can be overused by postwhores, at times.

raziel, it gets used when idiots like alexxx and Lucius can't come up with anything to defend their tiny twat-selves. It's a bail out.
