Collin Kaepernick IS THE FACE OF NIKE!

Apparently Nike had been paying Kaepernick all along and were waiting for the right time to break the news. Will this news effect your buying of NIKE products?

Nike will end up looking like hero's here.

They're taking a stand, backing a player that's been black balled by the league he was a starter in. This will upset Trump and in turn generate even more media attention on Nike.

Smart marketing, unless those who hate Kaepernike have enough pull to cause financial pressure. But that will make Nike even more popular among the youth, because the brand will be considered "revolutionary" and trendy.

"Technically" he was the back up because he was coming back from injury. When he was kneeling during the preseason he wasn't playing.

He later won back his starting position to finish the season.

I'm sure it will initially, but I'm also sure that sales numbers will increase and the stock will rebound. Nike is in Oregon and that's a liberal state so that probably influences their view too, no?

Showcasing a dipshit like kaepernick is probably very low on the list of horrible things nike has done.  Nike shoes are mostly made in China and other Asian countries and they are probably made in factories where people are treated like utter shit.  Nobody should buy nike shoes....but they still will.  Nothing will change because little billy has to have his nike shoes so he can fit in on the first day of school.

I'm buying some new shoes soon.   I usually buy Nikes.  Not anymore.

Crapernick is a fraud.  Denver offered him a contract and he said no.

(CNN)The Denver Broncos are in the market for a backup quarterback, but they won't be signing Colin Kaepernick.

John Elway, the team's general manager, told reporters Thursday that he tried to sign Kaepernick before and it didn't work out.

How? Football isn’t the only sport Nike sponsors. They just basically told almost every white person to fuck themselves. No, that wasn’t racist, that was fact.

"I said this a while ago: Colin had his chance to be here," Elway said. "We offered him a contract. He didn't take it."

He had a guaranteed contract worth $11.9 million.  Denver offered him a chance to compete for their QB position if agreed to waive $4 million of his guarantee.

It wasn't like they offered him a deal as a  free agent. They wanted to trade for him if he gave up $4 million.
He ended the season as the starting qb for the 49ers.

Good for Nike.   If it has the trumptards in an uproar, then they must have made the right choice.

So he chose guaranteed money over another opportunity in the NFL.  The narrative is that he was blackballed out of the league because of his wokeness.

So he chose guaranteed money over another opportunity in the NFL.  The narrative is that he was blackballed out of the league because of his wokeness.

Well he ended 2016 as a starter on one of 32 teams.

He did not receive another offer to play anywhere. The player beat for the starting QB spot, Blaine Gabbert, signed with the Cardnials in 17 and is with the Titans.

One team called Kaepernick for an opportunity during the 17 season, the Ravens. The team owner Stephen Biscotti, said public opinion mattered and asked for prayers on making the decision of whether or not to sign him.

A guy who was a competent starter the year before was out of the league entirely.

The Seahawks allegedly called him in April for a workout but didn't like his answer prior to the workout if he was planning on still kneeling so they canceled the workout.

It's fine if you think he's a political moron and disagree with his stance but so many other horrid passers, guys who aren't competent, like Brock Oswieler keep getting signed.

RGIII was brought back after sitting out for a year, and he made the final cut for the Ravens.

When Deshaun Watson (a mobile qb, like Kaepernick) was injured last year the Texans brought in Brandon Weeden to compete as a backup, a guy who had been out of the NFL for over a year.

The fact that his case is going forward shows that there is a possibility of collusion.

Goodell could have ended this all by having an anthem policy in place after the protests became an issue. Or he could have called a team and told them to bring Kaepernick in for a workout just for the sake of appearances.

Instead teams bring back guys like Luke McCown or call Jay Cutler out of retirement but never inquire about Kaepernick....

I'm gonna disagree. probably won't effect Nike one way or another. if anything I think most people will see right through this p.c. motivated move. it could backfire.

Winning trumps all...if he was that good he'd be playing end of story. Truth is he's an average player with tons of baggage so why bring him in when there are 10 other guys just as good who will not cause problems.

Adidas FTW.

I have a few questions for you..........

1.  Where is the evidence that teams colluded with each other?

2.  Does any player that is talented enough to play in the NFL have a right to play in the league?

3.  Do teams have a right to avoid signing a player because of distractions that he is likely to cause them?

I'm my opinion teams are willing to put up with  high maintenance players when they are supremely talented.  They are less likely to put up with high maintenance players that are mediocre.  Also, teams will eventually run out of patience with the supremely talented players.  They often reach the point where they are more of a pain in the ass then they are worth.  NFL teams are in the business of winning games and making money.  It is my opinion that they are fully within their right to look at a player and go "thanks, but no thanks".  Guys that cause distractions are usually bad for business and they usually find themselves assed out eventually.
