He’s finished. As others say, he’s this era’s Big Things Coming thong warrior. And in this tradition, he’s blown his wad. A monster who no longer has the hype but presents ever-diminishing returns on what’s mostly been a lacking physique.

At his level of drug/hormone abuse, one has, at best, several years to cash in with a prime.

He doesn't look very good. That's not to say he's fat or holding a ton of water, because he clearly isn't. But his condition wouldn't bear comparison to Ronnie's, Jay's in 2009, Dexter's in 2008, Dorian's anytime in the 1990s or Lee's in the 1980s. He is NOT top 3 material and never will be. He's Ruhl except much less likable, a smaller chest, and anyways Ruhl at the 2002 NOC remains the freakiest human being I've ever seen in my life. Ramy can't do that with all his drugs and state-of-the-art Oxygen gyms in Kuwait.

They're no longer using diuretics at the show or immediately prior, which is the only time those drugs really work to look peeled, anyway. The IFBB doesn't care about any drugs except for those. Nasser, Jay, and Sonbaty all lost titles because of them, although Jay blackmailed them into restoring his placing at the 2001 Olympia, probably by threatening to spill the beans about the judges and IFBB's drug culture to the media if they didn't work with him and his lawyer.

Shawn Ray lost his first Arnold Classic for testing positive for steroids

He does nothing else but bodybuild. He had a whole year to prepare. The biggest hurdle for every bber is to put on enough muscle to be pro size. He's already done that. He doesn't need or have to get bigger. He can just do maintenance training to keep his size which is way easier than trying to add muscle to an already advanced physique. He only has to focus on conditioning.  He has a whole year to find the right formula. His bodyfat doesn't need to be lower. It's where they all are on stage. It's drying out. And it's only the last day or two that matter in getting bone dry. There has to be someone who can figure out sometime during the year what it will take to get bone dry for about two days without dying.

He still looked better than Heath. At least he doesn't have that glazed over gut that Heath has. Even Brandon looks better than Heath.

Was that the same year they tested the Olympia? I thought that was 1990. Besides, that Olympia may have been tested but it doesn't mean the guys hadn't juiced all year long. They just got off it early enough and took whatever detox remedies or camouflaging agents existed at the time to mask the tests. Obviously, they were still a lot smaller.

Are they seriously being tested for diuretics? It's still widely used in local shows.
