That happened on the second safari I went on. They tell you they are friendly but when a couple hundred pounds of killing muscle squeezes in and pants in your face, you find yourself reallllllyyy hoping that is true.
Weird thing, is that the ones they consider friendly are always way off in the reserve and wilds somewhere. But the ones up near the compound and housing sites are mean as hell. You would figure it would be the other way around. But they take NO chances at night due to lions finding ways past the fence. When you go to your cabin after dark, you are NOT allowed out for anything. You have a walkie radio and if you need anything you call and they send an armed group over to your place.
