The long-haired guy has a huge following on instagram and youtube. He does a whole bunch of pretty dangerous/entertaining exercises with heavy weights and seems to have a lot of fun with it. He's actually pretty hilarious. Dead in 10 years though.

I did 225x2.

Was a regular sized dumbbell, full ROM.

If I had access to such heavy dumbells like this,I would have progressed more.

Even the 225 I had to make by using 150 and chaining plates to it.

I believe there is not a single dumbell heavier than 160lbs anywhere in my country.

No gym would buy heavy ones because they entirely make their money from crossfit twinks.

Nice lift,I made a 205lb db and did one arm db rows for sets of 5-8,years ago.did that for about a year, felt so good to row so heavy.made it with a 150 db and 2 tens and a 7.5 lb plate duct taped to each side.Took a whole roll to keep them on and I had to add duct tape every few weeks.

The golds gym in white bear lake Minnesota had 200's when I lived in Minny with my ex.  I was stoked as I'd never seen any over 150 which I was hitting for 20-25 reps b4 I moved there.  I ended up getting a clean set of 8.  Sadly it was the highlight of my time there living with her.  The hardest part about them was that dbells that big are really clumsy to use and I am short while the rack was rather high.  Usually the heavy ones are on the bottom row.  The rack didn't even have a lower for I believe 150s and up.  There were a lot of big mofos there.

I know many golds have dropped the brand.  Anyone know if it is still there?  This was 14 years ago.  They had another up the road in vadnais heights that was newer and more like a 24 hour fitness

That’s awesome,I’ve been looking to buy some big fucking bells and it seems no one can get them.most gyms now have 80s maybe 100s.would love a set of 200s just for shrugs,db rows and fucking around with.

Not a row, more of a dumbbell Jefferson lift. I think right now, Kroc still would hold the record for heaviest rowish lift -

He uses #310 at about 8:32 here -

.

Speaking of impressive feats, I saw this posted a bit ago -

.

Monster lift, I think he could probably offer cleanest row with the #420.

Keep an eye on Craigslist.  I was watching for some quality mats and came across a gym in this shithole town across the river selling some really good commercial equipment dirt cheap.  I don't know what the fuck the owners were thinking buying all new shit in a town that poor and small that a nice gym would ever even get into the black let alone be a money making success.  But hey, one man's stupidity is another's gain sometimes.

Happy hunting bro!

LMFAO!   ;D

I knew someone would chime in.  Kinda put the ball on the tee for you dickheads :P

Seriously though, look at that Matt Kroc pic with the 310.  Take five 10lb plates off each side and you have a 200lber.  Unless you're like 6'5, it's really freakin awkward.  Had I stood it on it's end, it probably would have come up to about my knees.

BTW, since your tall ass is so much better than us midgets; let me know when you can even get a 200lb dbell off the rack with one hand let alone rep it for 8 8)  I tore my bicep tendon a couple years ago and haven't lifted since, so I will re-live those days through you when you do.  I'll check back on this post in another 14 years.  LOL!

Furious Pete is the guy talking with the hat on.  It's his private gym, and he had the dbell made just for kicks a while back.  He also has a competitive eating channel which he does as a profession as well.  There's a video of him with Brian Shaw, and he just smokes Shaw.

That dumbbell must have cost a fortune to make.

Just picking it up one handed is quite a feat.

Are they solid or plated?  I've watched a lot of Pete's vids, and he seems like an honest dude.  There is a vid where he showed it for the first time, and I believe even b4 that he had talked about it being made.  I think it's 100% legit.

However, that definitely was not a row.  Impressive to deadlift 420lbs. with one hand, but it was not a row.

Yeah there was no rowing in that video but the one arm deadlift was badass and the stiff leg was impressive as well.
