A used f430 is a piece of shit and not worth the maintenance, the only 430 to get is a scuderia

Only poor folks make stupid comparisons like this

just ive always wanted a 348, 355, 360 or a F430.... they have that look. the f430 is much more modern.

if i found a low mile red 360 modena also a lifetime bucket list.

all ferraris have tons of maint. its part of the game.  again its a one year own for me - bucket list to own a red mid engine ferrari.

only live once!

Big fan of the C7 and especially Z06 which is the sweet spot for price to performance IMO.

Not excited about mid engined C8 if plan is to market & price it in similar manner to a European supercar.

The Corvette is uniquely American and has punched above its weight for the price for a very long time .  Sure, some of the interiors have sucked...but the C7 is a nice step in right direction inside.

I have read there is a possibility of two different C8 models, with a lesser priced front engined V8

Exactly

And the ones that are trying to “own” these aren’t wealthy or even rich, they are posers just so they can have a “Ferrari” ::)

If you are going to own a Ferrari, get the special editions that increase in price, investments

360 challenge
430 scuderia
458 speciale
488 pista

Not a run of the mill shit version just so you can brag to your hood friends “i got a Ferrari”

I have C6 vette.. LS3..
I passed on getting a C7..
I like the longer frame..
Hopefully the engine bay is visible..
I heard it's going to be over $100,000.00
Will probably have to wait a couple years in order to get one..

5000 dollars more than C7 it will be.  I know this from a GM Engineer working on it.

The chief engineer said they had gone as far as they could with the front engined rear wheel drive layout.  If they wanted to progress any further they had to go Mid engined.  I'm not a Corvette purist so the mid engined layout seems more exotic and Italian.  I think the Corvette enthusiasts will accept this change.

It’s not just about exotic or being Italian, it’s about balance and traction. Mid engine lay out is the ultimate sports cars

Even Porsche does this and knows this

They have been floating mid-engine since the 1959-60s.

They also have NOT gone as far as they can with Front Engine.  Front Engine will remain and will be available down the road.

Around the world sports cars are a shrinking segment. Maybe GM sees it as a sort of Halo car.
Will they ever make money with it?

I see.  So what you're saying is the 911 is inferior because it has a rear engine layout and not mid engine.

I kid.

Preaching to the choir on weight distribution and why a mid engine layout is best for sports cars.

I had a friend who went to the Chevrolet dealer and tried to explain to the sales man that no Chevy is worth $120,000 when he saw the sticker on the ZR1.  I really believe they're trying to make the car more exotic and super car like to justify the enormous price.

Here's what the twin turbo 5.5-liter 32 valved V8 sounds like.

As Borat would say, very nice!

Best Bang for the buck by a country mile.

Take your date out with it Saturday night.  Drive her home Sunday morning.  Drive it to the track Sunday afternoon.  Drop it off at the local Chevy dealer for service Monday.

Take note Ford and Chrysler.  This is how you do it.  I'm looking at you Viper.

Not a run of the mill shit version just so you can brag to your hood friends “i got a Ferrari”

lol i am not Dubai India Rich -  so i will not be buying a 550 Barchetta or other low production ferrari

its a bucket list for me - plus I live in very wealthy area - Ferrari Scottsdale is 5 minutes from my place so there are 458s and 488s around town quite often

I am not wealthy - just upper middle class with little expenses and no children or wife)

red 360 is not a look at me car anymore. it is far from that.

I love sports cars and the ferrari is the ideal dream car for me. I want a red Mid engine ferrari convertible

if i wanted to go status - it would be a Bentley GT coupe (but those dont interest me)

cars that interest me (All sports cars I have followed for years and now are getting within budget for me)
2006 Maserati Gran Sport
2008 Porsche twin Turbo convertible
2005-2007 ferrari f430
2001-2004 ferrari 360

and of course any Roush or Saleen mustang, but I will not buy another mustang till they totally revamp the line up 100%.

What did it sell for?

a tad under $30k

it was a 2015 Roush stage 2 convertible with a 6 speed manual. red/black all options. the MSRP was around $54k.
it had around 22k miles on it. just 1 scratch - i was the second owner

stage 2 is a v8 with some add ons. no supercharger.  it was around 450-475 HP I am guessing
stage 3 has a supercharger, i didnt want a supercharger since it way to much power.  i hadf a saleen extreme (650HP 600lbs of torque) with a 4:10 rear end it was waaaay to much for me.

the roush stage 2 - red convertible was a dream car for me. i love it. again sports cars have honey moons which is usually 6-18 months.  its fucking true. people hate to admit it

mine was #36 - they number all saleens

this one has a tune - but the saleen extreme (typically they made around 100 to 150 per year)

the car sounded a fucking helicopter

please watch this video - listen to it. again nothing sounds like a nice Mustang V8 then allow Saleeen to do a tune hello :)

i know the demon and hellcats are out there but the saleen was a true california show stopper.  you felt like a fucking bully in the car.

it was crazy how powerful it was with a 4:10 rear end - you could over take about anyone and plus they look so damn smooth.

My thoughts on the Corvette Zora. That the rear wing will make or break the car. The C8.R sounds great.

Mustang GT500 might be the surprise of the year, in terms of performance cars.
