no the quality of overall education will be far lower in pakistan then canada. but in terms of university degrees and so on there's an internationally recognised standard.

for instance a doctor educated in pakistan will be qualified to practice in pretty much any western country. in the UK more than a 1/3rd of all doctors were born abroad. it saves a fortune in training costs.

the failure rate for accepting most of these people trying to practice in the west is really really high in Canada at least. I imagine it's the same in the states

As in Thailand, Western countries should require all foreigners to report to the police station every 3 months and should pay for a visa to stay and work in the country. And those without a visa, immediately deported.

It should be extremely difficult to get citizenship and voting rights.

In Thailand, it's also national policy to protect and promote Thai culture and their race. They are even taught this in school. The same should be done in Western nations.

Foreign ownership of land should also be prohibited to non-citizens, same as in almost all Eastern nations.

And like in Japan, their documents should also state they are a foreigner and should be carried at all times. And if they commit any crimes or disruptions, to be deported.

Yes I've heard stories that have taken 10 years. you're in lal land if you think they just hand out certificates for doctors to practice just going into some international database. The failure rate for these foreign doctors is high.

you didn't offer a guideline. you offered the account of one doctor, that for starters, you have no idea whether or not they gained their qualification at an internationally accredited medical school.

secondly, from that account:

so he is not even talking about fully qualified doctors. even if postgraduate doctors stay in their homeland they would still need to do another couple years training before being able to become fully licensed doctors anyway.

and even taking that into account, his estimated worse case scenario of 5-6 years is still roughly half of the "10 years" you initially quoted.
