The Azarenka "moment"
« on: January 15, 2019, 07:19:11 PM »
I've seen acting at its best at this year's Australian Open from non other than Victoria Azarenka. Let me give you a little background: Tennis player from Belarus comes to the US to train and live. Meets a gringo, they mingle and (nine months later) out comes little Johnie. She develops an OBVIOUS case of postpartum depression and, following a shitty Wimbledon appearance, she decides that she no longer wants to stay with the guy. What does she do? She immediately moves to Belarus so as isolate the baby from his father and to file all the legal paperwork in her home country in an effort to avoid the US legal system. The dad, in return, gets her involved in a truly nasty custody battle in California. American judge decides that she is to make herself available "at a moment's notice" for the legal case, which means she isn't to compete in the US or Australian Open.

After ALL the bullshit this woman had this guy go through, something that would make ANYONE blush in shame, she goes to the Australian Open and does this at the post-game press conference:

Is this fair in a universal sense?

What happened to Red Foo? Wasn't he good enough for her?

I remember watching her play when she was 20 and her body was probably the best on the tour. Then she got fat.
