"Bigger" [2018 film about the Weiders].

I haven't watched it...when I read that one of the themes are the antisemitism faced by the Weiders in Quebec, I was like "Oh for fuck's sake."

Get this straight: Quebec laws in 1919 were more respectful to Jews than Jewish laws in Israel are to Palestinians in 2019!

And I'm not complaining.  Shit, with Palestinians blowing up buses, I can see why Jews feel the need to give them segregated bus routes, ban inter-marriage [not technically by law, but good luck finding a Rabbi that will ordain the marriage...ordain, is that even the right word?  Oversee.  Whatever].

My point is, I don't think Jews are in any position to whine about Gentile laws towards them when their laws towards Gentiles are much worse.

On that note, I would rather live in Israel, governed by Jews, than just about anywhere else in the Middle East.  Still though - does every movie about a Jew or Jews just HAVE to be in this victim narrative?
