I walked through a couple of on location sets when they were filming this. While I didn't see any acting, they were doing a good job on costuming, set dressing, etc.... which is a good sign.

This movie looks very interesting. Some people shit on Joaquin Phoenix but I like him.

I like that they are making him crazy but he seems like a little too much of a sympathetic character.

Looking forward to seeing it. Other recent DC movies suck cock. Suicide Squad was fucking retarded. Wonder Woman was good.

in Phoenix defense, it looks like he had to get insanely skinny for that role (especially the scene when you see his spine, and his lack of shoulder width), so it will make anyone look like they are meth addicts

Phoenix is one of the top actors. He will do great. Agree with War that it does appear they are using the method of trying to make the bad guy look too sympathetic.

He better be careful playing that role as Nicholson warned Ledger right before he died. There is something about playing that character that drives actors crazy. The Joker may be the best villain of all in comic history.
