Sharks, like many inner shitty yooots, have very small brains but they aren't ignorant and tend to avoid  a diver resembling this deadly sea snake.
Unlike yourself who has a normal size brain, but you're still particularly ignorant.
How'd that happen?

Note, if you will, the pattern of her wetsuit.  It is made to resemble a poisonous striped sea snake that is believed to be a creature the sharks will avoid like the plague.  I recall reading about this a couple of decades ago and apparently it was tested out by divers back then and found to be effective (to a degree).

Genuinely had not picked up on that detail - thanks - makes a lot of sense.  The piece I read was mildly annoying because the author was clearly trying to make it sound as though she (Oceanr R) could just sort of 'feeeeeel' the 'sharkness' or something....   ::)

So dismissing that BS I was wondering if maybe they timed their swims just after the thing had finished eating - one presumes a creature like this doesn't stop until it's totally sated...

But scary snake costume for the win!  8)

Bottom of my surfboard is black  :P, fucked !.Supposedly when shark swims up lights distracts them, they see in 1 colour only.

Older surfers in 60's, 70's would have big eye painted on theirs boards !.

I am more worry about salty crocks than sharks.  :P

Watched a documentary recently where a great white was killed by an Orca while being filmed. The amazing part was that after that kill, the tagged Great Whites in the area immediately dove to around 500 meters, beyond the Orcas ability and swam to Hawaii. That apparently made an impression on the Great Whites gang members. Orcas don't mess around
