When you spend your entire life bodybuilding, and you’re still misspelling a bodybuilding term. Sad! It’s not surprising that he blew $80K on a sound system for his Excursion. He could really use that kind of cash nowadays, huh? I just can’t muster up any sympathy for this guy. Every training segment I’ve seen of his, he trained lazily and always flashed his material possessions. Not a fan of this woe is me shit.

I liked him in 1993.

But after the car accident and the synthol..  no longer wanted to hear about how perfect he was

I totally agree! He looked amazing in 1993. Was it oil? I always thought they looked like implants. That must been a ton of oil. I know those delts had oil in them later on in the 90’s as well.

Swipe .........These photos were taken July 2019 😥😢💔.

_____

In a attempt to save my right leg. A stent was put in my right peck that goes all the way down to my right leg.
Unfortunately the day after the emergency surgery the stent irrupted.

I wonder if he means a "bypass" that goes from pec to leg?
Stents are usually placed in a section of artery containing a severe blockage/narrowing. Sometimes, they'll place several stents end-to-end to cover a more diffuse area of up to several inches.

Sounds like Flex had a bypass running the length of his torso to deliver blood from (I'm guessing) his axillary/subclavian artery to his leg. Bypass grafts are used in more severe cases to essentially "detour" blood around a problematic area that isn't allowing flow to get through.

I'm not sure what he means by "irrupted." Never heard of anything like that happening to any type of vascular implant, but it's quite possible the graft quickly shut down, which would explain the leg amputation.

He lost his leg because they took a vein out of his leg when the did his kidney transplant

Very little oil pre mid 90's, and no implants he was legit...

the oil situation got very bad in late 90's, there were a fair few guys at that time that went overboard with the shit dexters calves,  milos, flex etc....

It's a pity he had this done, it sounds like a risky procedure.... And near killed him.

Lost the leg anyway. If it was me I think I would have just taken the leg off, it's days were numbered. Now unfortunately he has all this nerve damage upper body aswell.

Hoping this is it for him and he can slowly get things back together to reasonable health.

Either way, this is sad. Between him and Ronnie, flex’s didn’t have the genetics for longevity and durability. As for Ronnie, he trained excessively heavy with injuries not being fully healed.

Damn, a lot of these guys really fucked up their overall health. Coleman, Wheeler, Prince, Matarazzo, McCarver, Munzer, Nasser, Kovacs, Youngblood, these are just some of the names that come to mind when discussing modern day bodybuilders that have practically turned themselves into cripples or have simply died, likely by consequences of steroid use, drug abuse and physically destroying their bodies via bad workout practices.

At least he’s got back 20% function in his right side. With PT hopefully he can get it back to normal.

Injecting oil is insanity. Did that contribute to his health problems? I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised. I feel sorry for him. I wish him well.

I wonder if the switch from primarily oral cycles to primarily injection based (+ synthol/mega hgh + insulin, but the main factor being injecting all this shit in vs ingesting orals) is the difference between golden era dudes' health vs the 90s on era.

back in the day, if they were primarily taking dbol + winstrol etc, the liver would get fucked (but it is durable, and this would not be worse than an alcoholic) and cholestrol etc would mess up, but true heart problems take a very long time before they show up.

however, 90s onwards: If you're pumping in 9 ccs+ a day of oil, your body has to work hard clearing all that shit out. the effects of insulin are clear, but god knows how bad long term hgh abuse is for you.

I think orals get a bad rep. "Health guys" always claim they're dangerous while pumping in multiple ccs of home brewed shit into their body.

modern bodybuilding today drugwise is a crapshoot ..other than some top guys most are lab experiments gone wrong....

I feel sorry for both Flex and Ronnie.

Who knew Kevin Levrone and Markus Ruhl would outlive them?
