Trump's transparency score 0-5. It is the lowest of the entire lineup. If you want someone who understands the issues of a regular Joe (financially speaking), go with Buttigieg. His transparency score is 4-5. He's a pauper compared to Trump supposed worth.

I understand that he is pretty bad with money if that is his actual net worth considering the positions he has held in his life. I wouldn't want him making financial decisions.

A candidate's net worth on its own is irrelevant and just a stupid talking point.

The real issue that should be investigated is those whose net worth dramatically increases after they enter politics.

He must know a few things about money as he has a LOT of it.

$3.5 Billion?  That's three thousand five-hundred millions.  Think about how much money that is.

At a 4% return that is $140 million a year in income.

Some of these candidates are obviously very bad at managing their money.  Their low net worths are surprising.

Many of them have fat pensions from sucking off the taxpayers' teat.

That's an EXCELLENT point!

By that logic Trump should be the perfect candidate. Doesn't need to open up a global "charity" to get paid off selling our uranium and secrets to the highest bidder.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Pelosi

"Pelosi's earnings are connected to her husband's heavy investments in stocks that include Apple, Disney, Comcast, and Facebook. Roll Call reported that the Pelosis have $13.46 million in liabilities including mortgages on seven properties. According to Roll Call, Pelosi and her husband hold properties "worth at least $14.65 million, including a St. Helena vineyard in Napa Valley worth at least $5 million, and commercial real estate in San Francisco."

Paul Pelosi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Pelosi

"Paul Francis Pelosi Sr. (born April 15, 1940) is an American businessman who owns and operates Financial Leasing Services, Inc., a San Francisco-based real estate and venture capital investment and consulting firm. In addition, he was the owner of the now-defunct Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League."

Her and her husband specialize in insider trading.

Right before Pelosi took over as speaker ( the 1st time) , her husband bought up a lot of Oakland area harbor property.
It was a mess and needed a ton of work to be viable.
One of the 1st bills she passed as speaker was a infrastructure package which included $$$ to improve the Oakland harbor areas.

This was perfectly legal and never got much press because it was in a massive infrastructure/repair spending bill.

This is a good example.

Legal?  On the surface yes.
Win/Win for both?  Possibly.

So these people stay in office forever in order to keep their misdeeds covered up.

But...there's no swamp they say...

These people stay in office because incumbents have the advantage in any election unless they really screw up and the voters both know and believe it.

'60 Minutes' Uncovers Pelosi's Insider Stock Trades

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi bought stock in initial public offerings (IPOs) that earned hefty returns while she had access to insider information that would have been illegal for an average citizen to trade with – even though it’s perfectly legal for elected officials, CBS’s "60 Minutes" has reported.

In a piece relying on data collected from the conservative Hoover Institution, "60 Minutes" revealed that elected officials like Pelosi are exempt from insider trading laws – regulations that carry hefty prison sentences and fines for any other citizen who trades stocks with private information on companies that can affect their stock price.

In the case of elected officials – this secret information ranges from timely details on lucrative federal contracts to legislation that can cause companies’ stocks to rise and fall dramatically.

How do they get away with it? Lawmakers have exempted themselves from the laws that govern every other citizen.

Pelosi, D-Calif., and her husband have participated in at least eight IPOs while having access to information directly relating to the companies involved. One of those came in 2008, from Visa, just as a troublesome piece of legislation that would have hurt credit card companies, began making its way through the House.

“Undisturbed by a potential conflict of interest the Pelosis purchased 5,000 shares of Visa at the initial price of $44 dollars. Two days later it was trading at $64. The credit card legislation never made it to the floor of the House,” Steve Kroft of "60 Minutes" reported.

Howard, you still feel that is perfectly “legal”?

If you want someone who understands the issues of a regular Joe, go with the guy who has presided over a historic economic boom that has greatly benefitted regular Joes.

He peaked at 2.1% on a couple polls and wears a cool math pin.

The problem is when your dem party is awash in identity politics you are just left to assume this is the brilliant Asian billionaire. Everybody has a gimmick.

In reality here's this guy that really hasn't done anything but make some dumb luck money in tech in spite of himself....a socialist Mark Cuban wannabee of sorts.

Truly a dismal field. The heavy hitters are staying far away from the Trump train.
