Never have noticed much if any difference in modern cars as far as reliability, etc. All seem to be pretty reliable with each company putting out bad quality ones here and there.

Actually, one of my Toyota's was the worst. Only car I've had that literally died on me at 120,000 miles. And i know they are good cars. Have had two others that were great.

By competition I did mean Ford and Chevrolet.

Ford and Chevy, even with struggles, are light years ahead of fiat/Chrysler/Dodge

Italian management car companies are shit! Ferrari is the only exception but that’s super cars

Alfa, fiat, Maserati, all cars no one wants, may look good, but look at their sales in the US. Combine that with poor sales, really really poor reliability, poor customer service, poor resale, poor quality.....

Maserati is made by Ferrari. They're good cars.

Modern Alfa-Romeo's are reliable.

Fiat has a large market in Europe.

No they are not

They have shared engines, etc

Ferrari is its OWN, independent automaker currently

Look at all the new current reviews on Alfa’s, far from reliable 😂

I agree Ford and Chevy are ahead of Fiat Chrysler.

I've driven a Chrysler 300 and Dodge Challenger and was disappointed in both.  I personally would not buy any of the current brands from this new company.

In the automotive industry size matter.  It gives you the resources to attract and pay the best talent in the industry and properly develop a vehicle.  Dodge and Chrysler have been devoid of new product simply because of a lack of resources.

Ford's credit rating is currently junk, meaning they will pay significantly more to borrow money.  After this merger Chrysler will be in a better position than Ford.  That's something you could never say in the past.  I actually think Ford is an easy target for a takeover.
