Frank looks like he never lifted a weight in his life. Amazing.

Because he's not fat and bloated like many other "big" guys.

What is ridiculous about inventing excellent gym equipment. Name several other bodybuilders who have invented some new machine that is helpful for building muscles.

Zane thought I was living in Fantasyland because I said my ambition was to beat him after winning the Mr Canada contest in 1970. That pissed him off. What an ego that guy had.

So now in old age...we are about the same age...he isn't looking so superior any more. Maybe he shouldn't do videos looking that puny?

I respect you for being an elderly statesman of our noble sport, but you really lack self awareness lol.

One thing for sure the Zane leg blaster wasn't his invention. It was invented by a guy named Moore. Zane bought the rights then implied he made the contraption.

I met Frank Zane at the Arnold classic 2012
I shaked his hand and wanted to talk with him
He didn't say a word
A woman near him told me i had to buy his book first

Even in his prime he would go off drugs and hit a soft 170lbs.  On cycle he would look amazing at 185lbs to 205lbs. Now being in his twilight years off drugs he looks frail.  No one gets out alive with muscles.

Agreed.  Bang on - all of it.

I asked Frank in person would his biggest competitive weight was, and he said he was 205-lb at his biggest but "didn't look good" at that weight.  I would say that he looked good.  He was hardly soft...and he was 20-lb heavier than his normal competitive weight.  I think he looked good at any weight, really.  Anything between 185- to 205-lb.

He would be a soft 170-lb without drugs, but with MINIMAL drugs, he could be a cut 170-lb.  By "normal people standards", that is.

Have I ever made a comment to you about what you can or can't post here or how you should behave?

So Zane looks like an old fart now. That is the truth. Sure we all fall apart at the end but some of us try to postpone that decline.

My arms and calves are just under 18 inches cold. I train my arms once a week but do no calf work. So it is possible to retain

muscle size as we get older.

If I had gone to California instead of Australia in 1971 perhaps I might have been more competitive with all the motivation there.

In Sydney I had to do 2 jobs and help raise a family.

Vince, you really did look great in the picture you posted, and anyone who would say otherwise would be talking trash because they dislike you.  I also have no doubt that Zane has been a colossal anus hole to a lot of people in his day, not just toward you.

Now:

Having said that, there comes a point where a person has to stop bickering with strangers on a bodybuilding board.  This whole thing is just WEIRD.

Funk - I've never had the pleasure of using one of these contraptions - what happens when you hit failure..?  Are they far enough across to catch in a rack..?  Spinal compression much..?  You've got a helluva home setup - got anything like this..?

zane probably cries himself to sleep daily in regret that he didn't come up with the biceps supinator machine and that he never shook up the medical world like Vince, with his trademarked safety fat theory.

That Moore version looks dicey. I suppose you could get it up on blocks, and do a "buttom's up' squat if safety was  needed. I've never seen anyone in real life go heavy with them, maybe at the most 2 plates a side. Looking on Youtube, this guy goes up to #345 on the Zane version -

.

The Zane version is a little safer, not a great catch, but you could rack it and run -

.

Edit, and just because, a photo of the one of the oddest squatting devices, the "Magic Circle" -
