Brainwashed by "The Game Changers"?
« on: November 25, 2019, 01:08:25 AM »
It seems so many have.
Hearing from some friends in the iron-game, reading about some others in Forums, many are that gullible and followed the cherry-picking "movie's" advices.
 ::)

Use your own mind people, don't believe James Cameron (made his living in "made up Hollyweird stories"). (Plus his billions invested in the vegan industry now).
This doc, is just another one of those.

Thibaudeau puts a pretty good spin on it...

https://www.t-nation.com/diet-fat-loss/the-game-changers-exposed

My belief is that the meat is supposed to be the garnish, not the giant slab that is normally served.
But these vegans who push their whacky religion, are just too far gone.

Legendary Strongman Patrik Baboumian:"If you want to be strong like an ox, why don't you eat like one? Have you seen ox eating meat? ".. Well, first, ox have 3 stomachs because it need to ruminate it's food to get nutrients out from it. Secondly, it eats all day every day, it doesn't go to gym at all, and it still be strong...like an ox. How come? Because it has mechanism which maintain it's muscle mass. In humans mechanism works another way around, we lose muscle mass fast, because muscles are just food reserve for our brains. If you need ~200 grams of protein per 24 hours, what it mean in vegan diet? Chick beans have high protein content, 8.4 grams per 100g of beans. Just eat 2,5 kilos per day, meaning something like 5.5 lb, and that is all you need.. ;D

The guy in the movie did a horrible experiment. At the same time he went vegan , he also mentions he cuts out all flour and sugar from his diet.  So now you can’t judge what really made him feel better and more energetic.  I can keep my diet the same and just cut out flour and sugar and I notice a huge difference.  I start leaning out quicker and I feel a lot better.    If you look at the athletes he shows. They’re all endurance athletes. I’m not shocked that eating less meat helped endurance. No shit.

Yes, just cut out flour products and sugar makes a big difference in caloric consumption. ^

Flour products = bread, crackers, pasta, cookies, pastries, snacks of many kinds, etc.

Sugar = junk, soda, coffees from Dunkin', energy drinks, prepared foods of all kinds.

Where would Oreo cookies fall on that list?

Oreos are separate food group.

Just re-read my post and I sound like Prime stating obvious facts.

I watched it and thought the same thing I always think when I watch these Vegan/vegetarian-centered pieces:

  • eating meat sucks for the environment
  • helpless animals are being bred and slaughtered for food sources
  • the shit they pump into these animals aren't the healthiest of chemicals
  • our digestive tracts are faced with difficulty when trying to digest animal sources of food
  • There's most likely a connection between heart disease and eating very large amounts of animal food products over a lifetime

With these thoughts in mind, what I don't like is when any influential groups try to brainwash me into changing any of my practices, because they think it's their newfound calling to be the harbingers of truth when it comes to the evils of the meat industry. If you ask me what I think is healthier to consume throughout a lifetime, then yes, I would say that a Vegetarian/Vegan diet is probably best for your long-term physiological health. That said, I still want to have the luxury of choice when it comes to being able to eat any meat product when desired. I don't care too much about eating steak often, but if I felt like I, I'd like to be able to buy it. Over time, I've tried going partially meat-free in that I have been able to not eat red meat of any sort and/or chicken for long periods of time (over a year), but it is hard for me to not eat fish meat (Salmon + Octopus).

I don't mind these movies for what they are, a public service announcement based on the creators/people funding it, but just make sure to advertise that as openly as they do their anti-meat sermons. What I also don't like is their attempt at public brainwashing by using these pseudo-athletes. For those of you that are 40+, do you remember the old Milk campaigns back in the early 80's? "Milk, it does a body good!" Using guys like Michael Jordan with milk mustaches and what not to push the effort for people to consume more milk. Shit like that disgusted me back in the days and kept me from drinking milk for years. I found it to be a cheap attempt at brainwashing kids particularly, as they would air their propaganda in between the cartoons the kids would watch. Downright disgusting tactics. Brainwash the kids into wanting milk and it forces the parents to buy the shit. Arnold said it best, "milk is for babies".

Also, did anyone else think this guy just looked like a fat piece of shit that will most likely die of weight complications? I don't care how much he pretends to lift in his carnival-like shows of strength, he still looks like utter shit and his beard makes him look like that of a terrorist.

He's fat as heck and needs to stop eating completely for several months.

Water is allowed.

A good candidate for my "Coast-2-Coast Diet Program" (walk from Atlantic to Pacific eating only one Big Mac per day).

You guys can throw your opinions around all you want. That's what this board is for. The fact remains, that if you're seeking optimal health, it's going to be through a whole food plant based diet. What you seek in animals can be found in plants without the side effects. With that said, what PL66 said is totally acceptable, the problem is most Americans dont use meat as a garnishment and they dont eat veggies and fruits regularly.

Because the American public is so sick, they could definitely use going vegan. If you're not trying to live long, have fun but there's no denying what brings optimal health, the studies have shown its plant based, whole foods.

Optimal health provides optimal fitness and the breeds optimal performance, endurance and durability.

why did Jesus choose fish when he fed the 5,000?

the Bible is littered with references to eating meat.

Wait...what? In one breath, you say you don't mind public service announcements as long as they are transparent, in the next you say literal public service announcement commercials that show who they are sponsored by count as cheap, disgusting brainwashing? Those milk commercials were 100% transparent in both the fact that they were attempting to influence behavior (encouraging what was considered a healthy choice at the time) and that they were paid for by the dairy farmers association. Is the issue any type of advertising at all? Because milk probably was the healthiest food option regularly advertised on kids' tv throughout the 90s and 2000s.

You are entitled to your belief, but what is the basis for this?  Why is meat supposed to be the garnish?  There is no medical/scientific evidence that meat shouldn't be the main course, or that meat shouldn't be all a person eats.  Look a those several top athletes who have been on an all meat diet for a long time and they are top performers in their sport, with no health issues or nutrient deficiencies.

On the other side of the spectrum, there are medical patients unable to exercise at all because they're on a wheel chair or have bad knees, yet they lose weight, get off their medications, and reverse their medical conditions on a mostly meat, ketogenic diet.

I just mean for myself really. I feel better that way. Not a fan of tons of meat being broken down, squirming thru me.
I like a small amount. And very rarely at that, like once a month for red-meat.

Chicken or fish almost daily, but even that gets tiring.

People can do what they want, dont care if they eat dog shite, just funny how people see a movie, and change their ways 180 degree's because others said so.
Never though to do their own research, make their own decisions. (Not told what to do by a cherry-picking docu).

Ive always eaten a salad/vege heavy diet. Havent gotten a burger at a real restaurant in many years, I normally go for the bean-burger.
Why? Again, I dont feel good on read-meat, not a fan of the digestion/sluggishness.

Glad you do your own research.  Keep digging.  I used to believe the same as you, then I got woke.  I'm not on a all meat diet, but I'm finding out through research, and this is coming even from some in main stream medicine, that red meat is the safest, healthiest, most nutrient dense food for humans on the planet.  Plants on the other hand have some natural, very harmful chemicals for humans.  And high glucose in your blood is a poison that kills some very slowly, while killing others very fast.  Much healthier and safer to run on ketones.

Is it really that weird, though? People are always looking for ways to optimize their lives, so if someone makes a persuasive argument for something that could be a better alternative to what is considered common knowledge, why wouldn't people be open to that?  It's pretty obvious that we have a lot to discover about how diet affects our health, and superior knowledge is literally a matter of life and death.
