Trump didn't withhold Congressionally mandated funds in order to get an investigation into a bogus Russian CT

He withheld Congressionally mandated funds in order to get Zelinsky to ANNOUNCE an investigation into a bogus CT

He also specified the announcement be on CNN and he had Sondland (and I think Volker -can't recall) write the script for Zelinsky

Those are all facts supported by statements made under oath by Trump appointees

The specific articles were drafted to the simple and explicit abuses of power.  The full report by Judiciary lists all of Trumps crimes which include

Bottom line is that Trump will be impeached in the House and we'll have to see what happens in the Senate

We know that certain members are coordinating the trial with the defendant and certain Senators have already stated they have no intention to honor the oath they will take

There are a handful of Republican Senators who might actually want to have an honest and thorough airing of the evidence. and actually take their oath seriously.

Quid pro quo and bribery were the talking points....they were what the Democrats said Trump was guilty of.  Bribery was added mid-inquiry, as they were running focus groups concurrently, and the focus groups said that would resonate.

Either way, that is not what our founding fathers wanted impeachment to be for.

It is completely obvious they are about impeachment first, justify it second.
