Its called leasing , not buying , it is good to do for tax purposes and business purposes especialy if you class your self as a professional athlete, and you get the benefit of upgrading when you nominate, I lease several vehicles as company cars , but own my own private car as well !!

You're saying Shawn leased a Viper for business purposes?  There' s a cut off for the type of vechile and vehicle cost that can be written off.  I'm sure Shawn could not use a Viper as a write off.

You don't have to lease a car just for a tax right off.  People like Shawn who want to look like they are high pimping but don't actually have all the funds to go out and purchase a car like that do it.  They are into it for a year instaed of 5 or 10 or whatever.  Happens all the time.  I'm surprised the Viper was not a very high cost auto.  First year they came out they were $53,000, then they jumped way up then came back down.  I don't consider cars under $60,000 a high end auto.  They are at the bottom of the high end list.

All true, except you can get a Lexis LS 430 for around 50 and that's a high end car (at least as far as quality goes).

Also, cars whether purchased or leased tell you nothing about wealth (i.e., net worth).  Cars are a depreciating asset.  One of the worst investments on the market.  I'd be more impressed with real estate Support Getbig free and clear.  Someone driving an expensive car don't impress me much.

Jack are you saying that Shawn Ray's parents have cash?  I find that hard to believe.  Shawn Ray squeezes his pennies so tight you can hear Abe Lincoln begging for mercy.  A pathology like that has to have come from an impoverished household.

The penny pinching is because some money has to be in reserve for legal services.

This actually could be an accurate statement.  Shawn probably doesn't change his pants much more than once a year.

the chad called shawn out on this one.
shawn likes to portray himself as some kind of superstar celebrity, hence the many fancy car leases combined with the fact that he told everyone he actually owned them...

Well, that was a bargain back then.(Due to inflation) But then again back then $53,000 is a lot of money also. Now they cost, what, about $90,000 or so.

I went to the LA Car Show the first year they came out with Pete G not sure what year but it was in the early 90's.  We were shopping.  He was seriously looking at the Bentley Azure in Cobalt Blue and it was absolutely an amzaing car.  I think they wanted $370,000 for it off the floor.  And he offered something like $250,000 cash.  While they were talking and negotiating I went walking and found the Viper.  It was $53,000 new.  I remember the guy telling me to hold off till next year.  That year had no A/C and I think no windows.  I think they jumped to close to $100,000 the following year. They stayed up there for a few years then dropped back down and now I guess you said they are back at $90,000.  I loved that car.

who's pete g and did he buy the bentley?  if he did what did he pay
