Love lost for bob
« on: April 17, 2006, 07:56:21 PM »
I have never seen so much love lost for a person who has actually succeeded before !!!
Bob actually won a show and he has practically had a new arsehole ripped out for him !!!

There are some prospectives one should think about before they tear into bob any more,

1) If the show was fixed or the judges adhered to give bob 1st placing due to his involvement in the sport I am sure it was not at bobs request, in fact i bet he entered the show just like every one else did , and that he got in the best shape he could at the time and left the rest to the judges .

2) if bobs sponsors had anything to do with bobs win , i bet bob was totally unaware of it , and would be horrified to know that he was gifted a place rather than have earned it !

3) At every god damm show there is ALWAYS a elemant of disapproval of a placings and always the complaint of the judges being blind or the show was rigged or the athlete didint deserve his spot , ALWAYS, and this show is no different

Bob won , end of story really , and the only influence I am sure bob would have liked to have on his winning was due to his physique on the day !!

Bob did well to achieve what he achieved due to his commitments and hectic schedule , so lets give some respect and love where it is due , sure you may think bob is a wanker , fair enough , but he did win and i always thought the winner was meant to be celebrated not decapitated !!!

you're missing the point HRDCOR - Rusty was overlooked big time - be it becuase of his porn days or some elaborate pro-Bob consipiracy. A lot of us agree with Bob's victory and have already congratulated him - we're upset at the fact that Bob was given ONLY ONE CALLOUT! That's bullcrap. Rusty Jeffers, who even Milos Sarcev agrees looked fantastic, was not given a fair shake and a fair shot at the title. They didn;t even have a final callout at the end between the front runners like they do at EVERY OTHER SHOW. Rusty deserved AT LEAST top 5. Considering the depth of the lineup, he couldnt have simply been overlooked. To be blunt, the field was crap and Rusty blew the other top guys away except for Bob. He deserved more comparisons and a higher place than 8th and 95% of the people here agree. It was a poorly run show and it left a sour taste in people's mouths.

I agree 100% hardcore.Bob is a real, tried ad true bodybuilder, came in ready in great shape and pulled it off. What happens? tons of naysayers rag on the guy, why??? who the F_____ knows?
In this sport it seems we have a core of fans that hate you win, say you got screwed when you don't and laugh when you do the stuff they demand (i.e. drugs, obtain a freaky look, etc)
Some these fans sound like an old lady that has not been laid in years, finally has a guy do her up right and she bitches about how he is doing it , claimes a headache and stops...cycle starts again.

Good post.

At least some of these naysayers are multiple 240 accounts and that's as dirt low as it gets.

Bob wanted a title before he retired.
Bob wanted "Masters Pro Champion BBer" under his name when he's on FOX news for the Titus trial.  He needed something to show he was a pro Bber.
He's done.  With the fans, with the competition.

IFBB needed a nice cover boy, some love for BBing.com, and VYO happy.  They got that.  It was a short term fix.

Long term, they lost fans.  We all now see what crap it was.  The camera angles were biased.  The judging was crap.  Flexonline's coverage was crap.  The fans are not stupid- we see this and we are tired of it.

Somewhere, a man named Wayne is taking notes about how NOT to lose fan support.  ANd hopefully, this Sept, we'll see a fair show, even if it means a popular and marketable guy losing :)

I only have one account.  You sound so stupid when you accuse me of that.  Anyone who reads getbig knows I am fearless to say anything to anyone.  To think i'd create another personality is just lame, man.  Ask Ron, ping the proxies, whatever you need to do.  just STFU already, you're dead wrong, berserker.  Period :)

Guys,

stop the infighting and address the issue at at hand.  Bob won a rigged show so he can add another meaningless credential to already laughable resume.  Even HRDCOR thinks he's a "wanker".

240 ---- of course bob wanted the title , thats why he did the show, the point I am try to express is that i bet a buck to a penny that bob would have never thought that the show was rigged and that he turned up to compete just like every one Else did !!

In regards to Rusty i posted early on that i thought that the man should have been top 3 , but this is not about rusty , it is about bob did the best he could and on this day it was good enough to win , so lets celebrate the effort !!

to those who say he wasn't there and this guy wasn't there , the fact is they weren't so it is a wasted observation ,thats like saying lee wouldn't have won the ironman if Ronnie was there or jay was there , it makes no sense , as they weren't , so ?????

Any how i like to give credit where credit is due so well done bob , THIS IS  NOT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY IT IS ABOUT YOUR ACHEIVEMENT , CONGRATS

There is no point in actually hashing it out with 240.  If you hit him with any logic, he does not respond but moves on to the next 50 posts running like hell.  Go back trough his posts and see just how many times he just takes off mid stream when it starts to go bad for him.  Something I don't have a history of like he does. There's no doubt he has the time on getbig, so why all the bailing ???

You want me to refute what is all wild speculation on your part with not a FUKIN SHRED of evidence.  Then you're going to claim some victory because I don't wish to look at your SPECULATION with any seriousness...  What kind of assclown claims a victory doing this?  There's nothing to your post, hense YOU'RE RETARDED!!!!!!!!!

Just read this!!!! It's like the ranting of an institutionalized madman.  I'd like to quote, "This is great stuff.  I could make a career out of this guy. You see how clever this part is...how it doesn't require a shred of proof.  Most paranoid delusions are intricate...but this is brilliant." but the only problem, it's not brilliant :-\

Hey Lift,

Rob is quite outspoken about the hypocrisy of the IFBB and his picture is posted all over the place.  Would you attend these shows if you were him? Having seen a picture of you, I can rest assured the answer is an enthusiastic "no".

So to be an NFL fan you have to go to games?  Gimme a break.  lift, it's fine if you want to be blind to the fact that we all know one man would get screwed at this show and one man who would not.

OH you can't go to a bb show if you're not a beast?  You can only be a true bodybuilding fan if you're heavily muscled?  WTF?
