Read the book.
Bad advice.
Because the book is excellent. If anyone watches the movie without having read the book, they would think the movie was decent. If you have read Max Brooks work, then you know the movie is so-so.
TBH, there is no way they could have adapted that book into a standard movie. I remember back when they were discussing making a movie out of it and one idea was to do a trilogy type movie, like Lord of The Rings. #1 would be select stories woven into an Infection theme movie, #2 would be stories woven into a Survival theme movie and the last movie #3 would have been about how the world was reclaimed. But Hollywood being Hollywood fucked it all up and gave us two hours of Brad Pitt running around with some lesbian string bean.
