We can think US trade policy for the past 30 years for the lack of manufacturing base in the US.  And this was done under both Democrats and Republicans. Trump is the first president to actually do something about it.

I understand and I think the sanctions he applied have been good. The company I work for went from purchasing supplys from China  to North America and it had zero impact on the bottom line.

That said it would seem that someone in the states  would realize the opportunity they have to cash in on this.
