Like I said in another thread that got deleted...  Rusty looked awesome for any bodybuilding show, period.  There would've been little disagreement if he'd won the whole thing.

You could argue that Bob Chick was in better condition than Rusty, because judging from the pics, he was.  I honestly believe Chick deserved to win, although it was certainly not a landslide victory by any means.

But putting Jeffers in 8th place?  It sure looks like the powers-that-be were trying to send him some kind of message.  Exactly what the message was isn't so clear, but come on!!  He looked way better than most of the guys who placed higher than him.

thanks for the clarification, though if u'd listened to him on the fitshow u'd think he's gay without even hearing abt his nude photo shoots and w/e. I actually heard abt him first on the fitshow, then someone mentioned here after the Masters that he does gay porn, so I didnt think he(vince) could be lying abt that.

I think Rusty looks awesome, but this board is messed up.  I would be willing to bet if Chick was not in the show (thus eliminating the girl drama), and Jeffers somehow came out on top, I would be hearing a different tune.  It would be an outrage of a "gay for pay homo that eats at the all you can eat juice and nubain buffet" winning the show.  Some of you guys need to give the shit a rest....

  You hit the nail on the head. If Rusty had won, people would be crying about how the sport lacks legitimacy because someone involved with porn has won a contest. Then someone would say, "You don't see Barry Bonds or Michael Jordan in porn, do you?" ::)

Durrrrr, I've gone 40 years without needing glasses but maybe this is a sign it's finally time to go & get my eyes checked!!

I seem to recall seeing some shots from the back and Jeffers looked a bit soft, like he was holding some water.  I know it's subjective because Chick wasn't exactly "hard as nails" himself.

Subjectivity aside, no one can look at these pics "objectively" and not see that Rusty was in waaaaaay better condition.
