In fifteen years fifty-five percent of all medium and light duty trucks will need to electric in the state of California.  Seventy-five percent of heavy duty trucks will need to be electric.

Medium duty ends at 26,000 pounds and heavy duty starts at 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight.

This will affect Ford, GM, Chrysler, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbuilt, International, Volvo, and Mack.

I wouldn't describe it as mega shit.  2019 was a record breaking year for air travel.  It's hard to say what will happen in the airline industry over the next six months. 
I believe there's a good chance American Airlines could go bankrupt.  Both Airbus and Boeing have new CEO's.

Will air travel in 2025 be greater than 2019?  I would say yes.

I don't think the state government understands how much more expensive electric vehicles are than gas.  The base cost for a model 3 is $40K and a model Y is $46K.  Can the average Californian afford a $46K vehicle just to get to work?  Expect a light truck similar to the F150 to be closer to the $70K starting price of the Tesla model S.

Essentially every car and truck company will need a full line of electric vehicles in 15 years.  The huge cost of that en-devour will be passe onto the customer.  Between electric vehicles and self driving cars, we are on the verge of the largest shift in the auto industry in history.  It will be interesting to  see how this unfolds. 

The reason GM crushed the initial fleet of EV1's is they saw how difficult it would be to  make any money on electric cars.  That hasn't changed, it's still just as difficult

The politicians and general public have no clue how much more this is going to cost them.

This isn't just medium duty and heavy duty trucks this will be all vehicles.  This law forces people to pay luxury car prices.  The average car price in California is currently $34K.  Expect that number to go to $60K with out counting inflation come 2035.  Elon has not solved the problem of why electric vehicles don't make sense.  The battery's make the vehicle too expensive and Tesla hasn't solved that problem.  People in California will figure this out in 2035.  Hopefully the rest of the states don't enact similar legislation.

You should expect more regulations in California requiring electricity to be generated by solar or wind. 

The United States has the largest coal reserves in the world and the fifth largest natural gas reserves.  The electric car solves America's energy problems by eliminating the oil requirement.  It does the same thing for China as well.  There's a reason Saudi Aramaco is going public now.  Oil is not the black gold it once was.

I'm not hating on electric cars, I just don't believe it's the governments role to mandate them.  I actually think the Model 3 is an impressive electric car for the price, as do most auto makers around the world.  The Germans (VW, BMW, and Mercedes) have developed impressive electric cars as well.

Prepare for a 4 day work week and part time work being the new normal. In the big end of town they are rolling out remote working as the new normal for a large portion of their workforce. It doesn't seem like the push to get back to where we were is going to happen.

And "green energy" will come nowhere near providing the energy of fossil fuels- which are in fact stored solar energy (how else did the organic material that converted to oil grow in the first place?) So how are you going to charge all those electric trucks and cars? Solar panels? Wind turbines, lol? Not even remotely possible.

California government is clueless. Their own experts told them their goals were impossible. But that never stopped idiotic politicians from making idiotic rules and laws.
