Ronnie Coleman could have beaten up any BJJ practitioner
« on: June 27, 2020, 11:54:45 AM »
When Ronnie was at his physical peak, it is my contention that he could have rag dolled any of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu guys, including the Gracies. With his background in football and powerlifting coupled with the insane poundages he was lifting as a bodybuilder, he would have easily outmuscled these people. Discuss.

Absolutely.  Look at the size of his arms. No one could beat him in a fight

I would generally be curious to see if one of them could arm bar him. I’m willing to bet his biceps were stronger than they could pull.

Would get choked the fuck out though.

For fairness Ronnie needs to be tanned, oiled up and wearing a thong whilst the BJJ practitioner needs to be in a gi.

Aint nothing but a peanut for the win!

HAHA nice joke OP!

Many strongmen competitors would rip him apart. They outweigh him by over 100 lbs and were / are much stronger.

Bodybuilding is not about who's the strongest. Ronnie was strong but compared to strongmen he was not.

But if ron had tribal tattoos that would increase his fighting ability and hed destroy any strongman

This is absolute truth: Frank Mir was about 245LB and would’ve broken Coleman’s arm for the PPV audience

deadlifting and squatting 800lbs 5 weeks out from a show with those BF levels are pretty impressive for anyone, including all the strongmen

Rich Piana went up against a BJJ practitioner on t.v.  It did not end (or begin) well.  Lasted a few seconds.

I think Brazilian Ju jitsu is overrated af, it won't help you at all in a real fight srs, and about Ronnie, he was extremely strong, but I don't see any aggressiveness in him, he strikes me as a guy who has never been in a fight, a guy who is truly peaceful, he's not a Craig Titus kind of guy

He would be EASY to choke out

I'm sure an armbar wouldn't be the first choice but a rear naked choke or an imanari roll heelhook would be, which are Ronnies weaknesses.

Bruce Lee was overrated af, the dude was 5'7'' 125 lbs and I bet if there was an altercation between Bruce and Ronnie, Ronnie would destroy Bruce

Coleman's outer quad sweep would give him the advantage in most UFC matches.

No, 125 lbs, I think his heaviest was 128 lbs, all muscle, but still tiny compared to Ronnie
