Yes some drugs help performance in some things because it can make you more creative. My father wouldn’t have been half the salesman he was without alcohol. But it’s gonna get him in the long run.
I smoke weed every day and I debate with myself if the negatives outweigh the positives and I think they probably do. I still think it’s the lesser of the two evils between alcohol and itself.

I think smoking weed every day is slowing you down a bit. As you said it's much better than drinking, but it makes people lazy. In college i smoke a ton of weed and it made me more creative and improved my quality of life quite a bit, but after a while you need to take a break.
I'd probably smoke a few nights a week if i didn't get drug tested regularly. The company i work for does a lot of federal work for the military and we get random tests a few times a year. Such a shame they are testing us when all we do is provide environmental testing and monitoring, but that's how all government contracts work in the states.
