RUSTY WANTS TO DO THE COLORADO PRO!
« on: April 20, 2006, 07:02:41 AM »
I just heard back from him.
He's still in great shape and welcomes the opportunity to get back onstage.

Ron, if you want to give him a call, we can get the wheels in motion with the fan support thing, and other things.  Rob

Crap, I thought the show was *this* weekend.

Nice detective work, 240, but do you think the hype will last another 3 weeks?  Does a GetBig pep rally have that much staying power?

This isn't a pep rally.  It's a call for judging reform and to somewhat legitimize the inconsistent judging.

Hey Rob, Your boy Mustafa wanted to do to the show but had to drop out - he was your hot ticket item last month, why not help him with $$$ so he can do it? You claim he was hosed in the judging too.

How about this
240 is pushing this campaign so Rob fronts all the money. That way Rusty has a guarantee income for the show/hotel/etc and then Getbiggers who support this, send the money to paypal and 240 can recoup his expenses from this.  Any extra income gets donated to charity.

In another shocking twist you're riding 240's jock again. Nice to see you're not predictable.

haha, yeah i'm sure they really give a shit what you think. a guy who doesn't buy tickets for shows, doesn't buy the videos, doesn't buy the magazines and judging by your physique clearly doesn't buy any supplements. you generate zero revenue for them.

what does the ifbb stand to gain if they cater to you? you hate everything the ifbb does because your brain's been coated in pdi jizz. you don't even care about the ifbb athletes, you just want to play revolutionary and stand up against the big business so you can support the underdog.

your "protest" involves maybe 10 people who aren't buying anything anyway. how can you boycott something you've never bought?

some fans wanna give a guy some money he should have won last week so he can compete in a show in which the promoter assures us will have 100% impartial judging and that carries some decent prize money...

isn't a boycott of AMI/IFBB at all...

Yeah, I would prefer not have the hassle of touching any $- I'd prefer ROn or Mindspin or one of the longtime guys do it.  And I do buy supplements, I do visit their sites (and therefore read their ads), I do attend local shows, I attend powerlifting meets frequently now also.

You gotta admit, it's going to be cool to see just how good Jeffers can be against the midlevel IFBB guys, with the eyes really on the judges.  With all the clown icons looking at them, with all the emails they've been getting, they have to be a tad more impartial this week.

he got 12th at the 2005 Ironman - great posing routine and a great physique but a shitty placing there too

I'd help sponsor his trip to the Shawn Ray Classic - keep me posted

Will do.  He replied that he's very interested.  I know Ron would love to have Rusty be the first board-sponsored athlete.  Hopefully it'll come together.  I'm pledging my $ as well!

i don't mean to sound like an ifbb fanboy because i'm not, i get just as pissed at the bullshit judging calls as anyone else. but i also realize that i don't have a magazine subscription, the only supplements i regularly have are multivitamins and rarely do i get protein when it's on sale. i don't go to the shows, i don't buy the videos. the ifbb makes practically nothing off of me, so how can i expect them to care what i think?

this entire "rally" is being mounted by a very small number of people who, even if the ifbb did do everything they wanted, wouldn't suddenly start buying tickets to every show and subscriptions to every magazine. they offer no incentive and seem to expect the ifbb to change just because a small handful of guys on a message board want them to.

everyone's riding rusty's bandwagon and crying that he got a bad placing for no other reason than bob won that show. if vince taylor had been in the show, gotten second place, and everyone else was shifted back leaving rusty in 9th, this wouldn't have happened. you'd all be concentrating on how much of a travesty it was that vince got screwed and start going on and on about how ever since don youngblood beat him in 2002 the ifbb's screwed him at every chance they get.

Rob, you never addressed the fact that you were crying foul on Mustafa's placings last month... He wanted to do the Colorado show but had to drop out due to $$$. Why aren't you helping him, isn't that what would be the right thing to do considering you're part of TEAM MUSTAFA?

Mustafa expressed that it wasn't feasible.  Rusty is still in contest shape and is dying to redeem that 8th place finish.  Which do you think is more realistic, Isaac?

I could swing $2k in ad revenue for Shawn TODAY with a quick launch of the Rusty Statement Show- Letting the physiques do the talking at the Colorado Pro.

When can we expect the $2k in ad revenue?

Not agreeing with all the points, but there are many valid points here. The concerns of people who post on message boards, looking at free webcasts and pics...as the basic extent of following bodybuilding are hardly their main concerns. Not being rude, as I myself am all over the free webcasts/pics etc :D

To me it's pretty funny, b/c he's too dumb to know he's wrong.  I can see him furiously typing with those chubby fists thinking that he's making amazing points.  However, I think we all know that rob/240 is mentally 'off'.

Here's an example to strengthen my point about being 'off'.  Right here 240 is threatening to kill MattT.  In an earlier post he (rob) said that he has already called the DEA, and 67 ifbb judges.  Matt did not react in a way that 240 wanted, but instead Matt told him that he was a loser.  Then 240 created several accounts (skittles is one name I can think of), and posted a crap load of death threats on getbig and on his own board.  Here's one.

"the most dangerous man in the world is the man who has nothing to lose.  Matt may as well get those crosshairs tattooed on him for that miami show.

i was a different man back then, mike.  I have some health probs that I won't elaborate on, but I will say that I have grown up a lot since then.  " -240

Let's cut the demagogic bullshit. Doesn't matter what 240 or bust looks like in this case. I think that's just foul play.

What's with him claiming:

"the most dangerous man in the world is the man who has nothing to lose.  Matt may as well get those crosshairs tattooed on him for that miami show"

Nothing to lose? Why didn't 240 have anything to lose back then?

Best post ever.  10 people are here telling 200 other people (and those numbers are dwindling all the time) about how they're not going to support a sport they've never supported before.  But they are going to support a new organization run by someone who never cared about any athlete but only how to line his own pockets and manipulate the easily manipulated.
