Here's mine ....

Once upon  time I had a TOP SECRET clearance. with an “ULTRA” in front of it.

I’m not sure about the “ULTRA” part, but I was assured by by a senior that it was a fact.

I was also told that my clearance  was only approved after a seven (7) week ‘investigation by an organization within the US government (CIA???) …. commonly referred to as a Background Check.

It has been too damn long ago to recall those exact details, but I did pass the background check with flying colors and thereby was  legitimately allowed to read and often respond to top secret documents …. some of which (but not all) had already been mentioned in that morning’s newspaper.

"If I told ya more, I'd have to kill ya!" was often stated throughout the day.

So based on the above, I offer the following recommendation ….

Every individual who intends to run for political office (US President & VP in particular) should be subject to a similar background check by a responsible US entity …. before throwing his/her hat/bonnet into the ring.

Let all the shit be known before it hits that fan within the White House!

There's enough shit in there already!

I think that the above would be a decent start!

The deep state, which is real, doesn't need dirt on a politician. They create it from thin air. One of the most often used tools in the CIA toolbox is a disinformation campaign.

Side note: The phrase "conspiracy theory" describes the collusion of individuals to create a particular outcome. So it is in fact a reasonable starting point to explain certain acts. Only since the 60's has conspiracy theory been used as a derogatory term.

1) The Civil War was a time when the USA had more internal problems.
2) A friend of mine works for a satellite consulting group. He has a top secret clearance, obtained when he was in the Air Force. It's very common. He gets a background check every few years just to be sure he wasn't in the same room as Hunter Biden.

What in the....? A good 2/3 of your post is dedicated to telling us about your Ultra Top Secret Clearance, and the remainder has nothing to do with problems we're currently experiencing.

Btw, requiring government approval to hold office is an awful idea. You don't think just maybe those in power would use it to ensure they never have political opposition?

Based on this thread, my suggestion would be to remove the people from the political process altogether and just make all their decisions for them, since they are incapable of thinking anything through, and present them with an I'm Special button which they can pin to their jacket. The good news is that we're pretty much there already. All we need are the buttons.

Yes, I read that the term was invented by the CIA to ridicule and dismiss out of hand true conspiracies. I don't know how true that is, but that's what "they" say

LANCE D, I gotta agree with ya about the ULTRA clearance, but I just mentioned that because ... ) and here is some more shit that you may think is bull-shit) years after  I got my clearance ( It was a "top secret G-2 military clearance", IronNat) I was informed that I was 'physically investigated' by some unknown agent who was kind of like my shadow for a period of time which I recall as being for 7 weeks.

And the fact that it was classified as UTRA ... I have to admit that part could be doubtful

But I mention all this shit because I believe that every political figure running for high office (whatever "high office" is determined to be) .... should endure a background check which should be made public before we enter a voting booth.
