Blood clots in leg, she lost her left one. Tough stuff.

"On Tuesday October 13, 2020 Melissa was admitted to University Medical Center Las Vegas to assess recent onset of excruciating pain in her left leg. The doctors discovered that the arteries supplying blood to her left lower leg were completely obstructed by blood clots. Over the next few days several procedures were performed in an attempt to remove the clots and thus save her leg but these operations were unsuccessful. Ultimately Melissa and her doctors had to make the agonizing choice to perform a life-saving above knee amputation of her left leg. As a result of this medical emergency, she has incurred substantial medical bills and will be out of work for an indefinite amount of time as she rehabs her injury.

She currently is still in hospital and in great pain but she remains positive."

You know guys, even with heath insurance, deductibles and copays can be wild. Plus being out of work. I am sure some scammers are out there, but I am tired of hearing, “oh he/she should have had health insurance.” Lots of different scenarios.

I'd be inclined to agree in cases like this. A month plus of hospital time, plus the operation, plus rehab is a huge chunk of money no matter how you cut it.

Maybe the PEDs played a role but then again, maybe not. Don't know if she still juices. My GF, never juiced, got blood clots from birth control pills. Clots in the lungs and legs. Can't take birth control pills nor estrogens ever again. Blood clots are a pretty common side from BC.

This is why it is important to purchase a gold star health insurance plan before sports cars, expensive houses/condos and jewelry.  One big injury or illness can put you in the poor house.

I remember her coming into the MuscleMag offices in her early bodybuilding days. She was GORGEOUS.

Then, only a few years later, she returned, and already the gas was ruining her looks.

What a path she chose.
