I enjoyed the first, but this time the director (same) made a film that might have worked in 1984.

I think Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman, but this film didn't do her justice. I liked the first film, but this one was much too long, lacked quality screenplay and had some of the cheapest looking special effects.

Could tell 5 minutes in.  The mall scene was a like a bad parody of the first film.

It was awful.

The idiots who contributed to the initial 89% positive must have been afraid to give a female led movie a bad review.

It almost looked intentionally bad.

Thanks for your review of this latest version on Wonder Woman. My daughter and son-in-law invited me to watch Wonder Woman on Christmas day with them and eventually changed their minds. Instead we watched White Christmas. The classic 1954 American musical with Bing Crosby, Danny Kay and Rosemary Clooney. I was only 10 years old when that film was released....YIKES! Anyway, they pretty much watch it every year.

I've never been a huge fan of Superhero movies. In fact, I had no idea there was a new Wonder Woman movie. Now that I read your review, I feel lucky that they didn't choose that movie instead of White Christmas for us to watch.

Gal Gadot is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I have read that she is supposed to play Cleopatra soon.

She is perfect for the role (imo).
There are already social justice warriors condemning the casting choice. Claiming that Gal isnt "ethnic" enough to play an Egyptian queen.

Little do these people know that Cleopatra was Macedonian. A descendent of King Ptolemy, who was one of Alexander The Great's generals. When Alexander died, he split up his territory amongst his generals, with Ptolemy getting Egypt.

Gal would make a perfect Cleopatra, just like Elizabeth Taylor before her. She wasn't brown or black.

It was awful.  Just boring, slow and not really a super hero movie.  The villain was the lamest ever.  A salesman who found a thing to make wishes.  WTF!  Her acting seemed labored, she seemed tired and bored.  It took me 3 days to watch it because I fell asleep each time.
