Democrat Katie Porter just put out one of the WORST political ads I’ve ever seen.

“I’m a single mom with three kids!”

Yeah, because you poured SCALDING MASHED POTATOES on your now-ex husband

And now she wants to be the Governor of California 🤣🤡

Try watching without cringing

Pratt would have a chance if he gets media coverage. The media out here will really hide repubs unless there is a huge push behind them. From what I've seen he seems to be calling out some corruption and ineffective policies about drugs/homelessness.

I saw clips where they affirmed giving healthcare to illegal aliens and allowing men in women's sports and spaces.

They also were complimentary of Newsom's performance.

That should disqualify them immediately

I agree.  And they made fighting Trump a cornerstone.  As if having an antagonistic relationship with the POTUS is a good thing.

From the American Thinker website.

California: Katie Porter’s 'F*** Trump' gubernatorial campaign slogan should immediately disqualify her
Patricia McCarthy | May 7, 2026

Former Rep. Katie Porter is one of the 61 candidates vying to be governor of California.

She is rude, profane, and cruel.

Everyone paying attention knows she treats her staffers as if they are barely human and that she is their better.  And she threw a pot of hot mashed potatoes onto the head of her not-surprisingly now ex-husband.

In short, she is a horrific human being.

But she is hanging in there among the top eight candidates for the job.  She has participated in the few debates that have already taken place.  Most of us have not heard of any of the others beyond the eight who have participated in those debates.

That Porter remains a viable candidate proves that California has become a joke in every way possible except for its beauty and its weather.

Gov. Newsom has single-handedly destroyed what this great Golden State once was but is no more.  He has brought his state down so low that Porter, a candidate for governor, can send out fundraising letters with a subject line reading “F*** Trump.”

That pretty much says it all. California is a failed state.

Contributing to this sad state of affairs are the last several mayors of Los Angeles – Antonio Villaraigosa, who is running again, Eric Garcetti, son of former District Attorney Gil Garcetti, and the openly communist, Cuba-loving Karen Bass.

Bass, despite warnings about the fierce, threatening winds that screamed that a fire was possible, left the country to attend the swearing-in of Ghana’s president.

Only then did Angelenos learn that their fire department had been defunded by millions of dollars, that their reservoirs were empty, and so were the fire hydrants.

Five thousand homes in Pacific Palisades were lost; 6,000 in Altadena.

Bass’s obsession with DEI had led her to hire thoroughly incompetent people to head the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Department of Power and Water.

Few of those fire victims have been permitted to rebuild, as Adam Corolla predicted the night of the fires.

Despite President Trump’s intervention, very few of those who lost their homes have been able to begin rebuilding.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris purchased one of the Malibu homes still standing for $8.5 million, representing a $2 million discount.

Were the fires all part of a plan?  A plan to force the owners of those homes, most of them handed down from families to their heirs who otherwise would not be able to afford to live there. to sell their properties and move out?

Newsom has already demanded that any rebuilding include low-income housing and mass transit stations.

It all feels like a plan.

Oh, how all those progressives must wish they had elected Rick Caruso, a moderate Democrat, but they will never admit that.  The left never admits when it is wrong, no matter how catastrophically wrong they are.

Both Newsom and Bass have promised to solve homelessness; both have utterly failed.  No one knows where the billions of dollars provided for the homeless have gone.  None of the hundred million dollars raised by the Fire Aid concert held for the victims made its way to any of them.

None of it.

Gavin Newsom is the most incompetent governor California has ever endured; Bass is the worst of our mayors.

Will the leftists/Democrats who vote for these people ever admit their poor judgment in the past and vote for Steve Hilton in an effort to save the state?

That is anyone’s guess, but no conservatives who remain in the state are holding their breath.

California has long been doomed by the cult of leftism, no matter how much damage their policies do to the state and its law-abiding citizens.  Like all the other blue states and sanctuary cities that have vowed to protect migrant criminals no matter how violent they may be, we are sitting ducks, potential victims, no matter where we go to shop, dine, for recreation, or drive.

Newsom gave Class A driver's licenses to thousands of illegal migrants to drive big rigs, even though they cannot speak English or read our road signs.  Hundreds of Americans have died due to this one of many stupid, irresponsible policies of Newsom; proof that he is a pro-migrant criminal, anti-American citizen.

Porter, like Newsom and all the other Democrat candidates, supports free medical care for all illegal migrants at taxpayer expense.

As for the other Democrat candidates for governor of California, they stink, too. Tom Steyer, for one, the billionaire who showed up at New York City’s pro-communist demonstration wearing a shirt that read “Workers not billionaires,” is the prime example of gross hypocrisy.

Steyer, like NYC’s communist mayor, Mamdani, is a fabulously wealthy man who pretends to care about the state and its people.  He does not. Newsom’s policies, like Mamdani’s for NYC, are meant to punish the wealthy and middle class and have had the same effect. Productive corporations are leaving California, as have nearly a million residents.

Who can blame them?

Obviously, the profane and crude Katie Porter should never be the governor of this once-great state.  Nor should any one of the other Democrats running for that office.  She demeans the stages on which she appears to debate.  Former Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley is rolling over in his grave, as is the late former Gov. Ronald Reagan and the very much alive Pete Wilson – good men all.

He's hilarious.  I'm actually surprised they are giving him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Someone is paying for it, they aren't given out.

Quote
While you might think it’s a glamorous award handed out like an Oscar, getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame comes with a hefty price tag—$75,000, to be exact. That fee covers the creation and installation of the star, as well as maintenance and the big unveiling ceremony. Often, it's not the  celebrity footing the bill directly, but rather their film studio, fan clubs, or record labels who pick up the tab. In other words, there’s almost always a PR campaign behind each shiny pink terrazzo square.

Not in California.  I'll believe it when I see it.  They repeatedly elected Schiff to the House and elected him to the Senate.  They elected Kamala Harris as AG.  They let Pelosi become a multimillionaire using her government job.  They repeatedly elected Maxine Waters.  They elected Newsom.  They were about to elect Swalwell as governor.

From the American Thinker website.

California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra orders KTLA reporter to do a puff piece on him; station responds by releasing video of it
He's quite the jerk when he thinks he's off camera.

Monica Showalter | May 12, 2026

When's a reporter not a reporter, just a public relations adjunct of an incompetent, scandal-ridden, Democrat?

When Xavier Becerra, Democrat frontrunner in the California gubernatorial race by default after Eric Swalwell's embarrassing exit, is around.

Get a load of this disgusting exchange, attempting to intimidate a KTLA reporter into producing a puff piece about him:

Awkward moment kicks off KTLA interview with Xavier Becerra. @CaliforniaICP Full report: https://t.co/UcMXzidzrf pic.twitter.com/OViYkfTg3t

— KTLA (@KTLA) May 12, 2026
He's trying to come off as a mafia boss, which isn't inconsistent with what insiders have said about him, yet he's also quite the smug, self-satisfied, twerpy little jerk, trying to scare the very calm, professional, KTLA reporter into writing a flattering 'profile' as he calls it, about him. What he meant, of course, was puff piece.

Here's the Grok transcript, telling the reporter how to do her job:

Reporter: "With Xavier Becerra in Highland Park."

Becerra: "By the way, this is a profile piece, this is not a gotcha piece, right?"

Interviewer: "Well, look, I think these questions are fair. It's in order to learn about you as a candidate.

Becerra: "So long as it's about the profile."

Interviewer: "I don't know how you define it, but I'd like to begin the interview."

Becerra: "The way I describe a profile is you talk about all the things that I've done, things I want to do, and along with some tough questions. But not only tough questions."

Notice the ease with which he issues his instructions, as if he's been doing that for a long, long, time out in Sacramento and the Washington swamp, during his long, long career as a California attorney general, a congressman and a Health and Human Services secretary the great migrant surgee of Joe Biden, where he 'lost' 85,000 unaccompanied children brought into the U.S. as illegals, mismanaged the COVID response, and ran a waste-and-fraud-filled department full of empty buildings. He's telling the reporter how he wants her to write her story about him because that's what he always does, everyone else up until KTLA served as an obedient lapdog.

The news station, which is one of Los Angeles's biggest and most influential and definitely not part of those two scenes, was apparently so disgusted by his jackass behavior it must have realized that it had news on its hands, and being newsmen, reported the news to the public as rather useful to the public in assessing this candidate's worth.

I've seen Becerra before, in action, over the years as a member of the press, and know that this wasn't an off day for him, this was him as he always is.

Is a candidate who insists on strictly puff piece coverage, the same way Kim Jong Il does, really the guy who plans to govern California well?

Or does he have a few things he's going to want to hide?

An outtake like this can only serve to alert voters to how wretched, arrogant, and incompetent he is. This is as good an argument against early voting as any out there, because voters need to see Becerra as he really is before they cast their ballots. KTLA has done a public service in releasing this video.
