It's almost like the Democrats wait until election day, then figure out how many votes the Democrats need.
These are the voting requirements regardless of whether you are a Democrat or a Republican who is voting in California;
When voting by mail, your ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day.
When voting in person, drop your completed ballot in the return envelope off at a secure drop box, polling place, vote center, or county elections office by 8:00 p.m.
When voting using the ballot box, drop off your completed ballot in the return envelope at a secure official drop box in your county at any time between May 5 through the close of polls on June 2, (the dates in this election).
When authorizing someone to return the ballot on your behalf, anyone may return your ballot for you, as long as they do not get paid on a per ballot basis. (Who would let just anyone return their ballot for them?)
I wonder how long it would take to count the vote if everyone had to vote in person on election day? Seems to me it would be much longer than it is under the current system. So, what is your voting process recommendation?
Another possibility would be to allow voting by mail in advance of election day, but no votes may be processed/counted until after the polls close on election day.
I also think that early results should not be announced and when applied to national elections this means nothing can be announced/leaked until after the last polls close in Hawaii and Alaska which I believe is 1:00 am ET
