Massively overweight guy that works for me recently got covid.  They were about to take him to the hospital until a friend procured some hydroxychloroquine and a zpack.  He was literally all better in 3 days.  I think that shit works if given early.

The overweight have always been with us.  It's obesity that's exploded.  I want to find the numbers for the last 12 years.

Obesity is correlated also to difficulties in breathing and lower O2 levels because of
the weight surrounding the thoracic cavity..

this then increases the chances of respiratory failure...

The government is afraid of offending folks with the truth.

Metabolic health is the most effective defense against this.

Get in shape, lose weight, take daily doses of vitamin D, zinc, C and quercetin.

Survival rates on this virus are high, but the above would make them ridiculously higher.

But risk of offending folks prevents the government from providing factual information.

Why do people think the government gives a sh1t about them in the first place? Healthy people aren't  a good investment

Makes sense

I know a few people that had it, but it was only the fat ones (3) - one practically circular - who all ended up in hospital on O2 therapy (which I guess is like a CPAP?)

Holy crap!  The rate of us being overweight has doubled in twelve years!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/most-american-adults-are-overweight/2020/12/18/faefa834-408d-11eb-9453-fc36ba051781_story.html

About 74 percent of adults in the U.S. are overweight, according to the CDC

About 74 percent of adults in the United States are overweight, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That includes nearly 43 percent who are obese, meaning they have a body mass index (BMI) — a measurement of body fatness based on weight and height — of 30 or higher. An additional 31 percent are considered overweight, with a BMI of 25 to 29.9. But more than 40 percent of people who are overweight and 10 percent of those who are obese do not perceive themselves to be overweight, according to an analysis of the CDC data published in Annals of Internal Medicine. People who are overweight or obese based on their BMI face an array of potential health issues, including being more likely to develop heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, digestive problems, osteoarthritis, breast cancer, colon cancer and leukemia. Higher BMIs pose the greater risk. Obesity also has been identified as a major risk factor for developing severe complications from covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, for people of all ages, including children. The CDC data show that 16 percent of U.S. youths, ages 2 to 19, are overweight and an additional 19 percent are obese. For adults, the highest rates of obesity are among middle-aged people, especially men. The percentage of adults who today are considered obese is more than triple the amount the CDC reported decades ago: 43 percent today vs. 13 percent in 1962. To delay or prevent some of the risks linked to obesity, health experts generally recommend as a first step losing 5 to 10 percent of your weight (10 to 20 pounds for someone who weighs 200) via a change in eating habits and an increase in physical activity.

Word.

I found out a few years ago that hospitals have to have specially made 'bariatric' gear for the new generation of hyper-obese

Look at the size of this fecker!

They even have special ambulances, FFS!

Rise of the SUPERSIZED ambulances: Obesity crisis sees health bosses spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on vehicles designed to carry overweight patients
   - Rising number of overweight people placing huge strain on ambulance service
   - South East Coast Ambulance Service spent £562,000 on three heavy load ambulances
   - Highest number of obesity admissions was in the north west with 78,000

Tam Fry, chair of the National Obesity Forum, said: 'It is unfortunately absolutely necessary (for ambulance bosses to spend money on bariatric ambulances.)

Your standard ambulance can take 20 to 25-stone people.

'You need vehicles that can take 60 to 70-stone people, you need stretchers that are big enough.

It’s the same drill with diabetes. The problem is not lack of insulin. It’s that there’s no place to put all the excess sugar. Their glycogen stores are always beyond capacity, thus, high blood sugar.

Where the medical establishment does some amazing things is in surgery, putting a broken body back together, but when it comes to disease it’s actually very poor, primarily because of downplaying the role of nutrition.
