Not sure what the fuck this effect is but when I drink one of these I have the urge to nap about 15 minutes later. it makes me so freaking drowsy and sleepy. Anyone else get this from these "energy drinks"?

Do you take other stims? Coffee? Preworkout? Etc.
could be adrenal fatigue.

Should have named the cola "woke" instead of energy. If it's making you lazy then I suspect the product is making you less white

Is adrenal fatigue really a thing? Diet coach Tad Inoue said he wasn't certain on that.

I think it makes sense as a concept though. Like receptor saturation/burnout.

I wonder what ingredient in it does that? Maybe it's low caffeine - with only 80mg of caffeine in it or something. A regular can of Coke has something like 33.6mg of caffeine. The Mountain Few energy drinks only had 80mg of caffeine.

I am now interested in getting a 5-Hour Energy shot. The extra strength ones cost like $5.50 CAD now. King Schizzo goes to the corner store wearing a mask.

It would be interesting if you tried another brand like Monster or Bang to see if it does the same thing to you.

Energy drinks are largely large doses of caffeine...There are some people for whom a cup of coffee puts them to sleep...maybe another aspect of this phenomena?

This is true. There has never really been an accurate explanation for when giving a hyperactive child a more intense "energy burst" they actually tend to slow them down. But it works apparently.

Over the years I've kind of eliminated sugar from my diet, so maybe something with 26g of sugar per can could make me drowsy too...?

(Especially if I cracked one off immediately after consumption)

A friend of mine drinks coffee before bed. Says it relaxes him. Been drinking it since we were in college.

I'm super sensitive to stimulants. Just a strong cup of coffee makes me edgy and then i crash about 2 hours later.
